It’s New Year’s Eve tonight 2022 and I came across this video. May she rest in peace
same❤
It’s wonderful these first hand accounts have been preserved.
She is so strong , despite the horror she went through.
She’s so beautiful!
She doesn’t look her age!
I would not have lasted a day in her shoes.
She’s so strong.
I always think that exact thing when I watch these testimonies. I would not have lasted a day and many did not
25 years ago.
They are all leaving us. And it breaks my heart. I'm 70 in a few days. I was a baby boomer. The war cast a shadow over my whole life.
Magda sadly passed away on new years eve 2011. Rest in peace
Rest in peace Magda may god rest your soul 🙏
What a charming woman she was. Rest in peace
Rest in peace!
A dear lady.
God bless Magda Bloom's soul. Such a remarkable woman. She gives a very detailed testimony of her Shoah survival. We must never forget.
She is so compelling in her story and experiences. I felt right there, laughed cried, and overwhelming sadness over all the lost..
Sad how many commentators opt to focus and comment on the interviewer rather than what matters: the immensely humbling privilege of hearing the survivors' testimonies.
I will never forget.
Beautiful lady God bless her
I've watched a lot of these sad testimonies and as horrible as it is to hear these stories I truly enjoyed this one. I also enjoyed hearing Kitty's story because the details are so realistic that u actually feel as if u are there in the moment. She also has a special way of telling her story. God bless them all
I can't stop watching them!
These precious people have made the most of their lives! I'd be thrilled to have any as a friend.
I agree !!! I can not even imagine going through what the survivors had endured. 😢😢😢
Stunning people, incredible testimonies. So grateful for their strength to relive this horror so the world knows and doesn’t forget.
I’m so very glad all of these interviews have been recorded for history sake. If I have one criticism it’s that trying to listen to them with headphones is like sitting in the middle of the interview. Questions come in one ear and the answers come in the other
Same
I hope the Catholics treated you well! Because I’m half Catholic, practicing, very traditional and have always felt a spiritual connection to the Jewish people and faith.
Thank you for sharing your story. You were a wonderful woman. We must never forget..
What a beautiful lady. To be admired.
My admiration cannot be measured! These interviewers should study on how to conduct an interview and read up in the Holocaust..
I agree. This same person, Corinne Openheimer, conducted a terribly unprofessional interview with Kitty Hart-Moxon. I stuck it out for 8 hours, 2 videos, and even Kitty got frustrated with her! She sounded more heavily medicated during Kitty’s interview though. Cringeworthy.
On a lot of these the interviews could be a lot better. Some interviews sound so ignorant.
Ilett lace
@@willfade7994 kitty is my favorite!
So sorry to hear that we lost a great person! I listened a lot of testmonies
This woman is incredible.
I wish she could read me bedtime stories every night.
God bless you and your family.
How inspiring to hear this testimony!!!
Great job! The interviewer was asking questions to spark her memory and give detail pertinent to the individual’s experience.
SHE IS A VERY GOOD CUMUNICATER, HER STORY IS RIVETING.
What an amazing woman.
@@brendalandes1813 (((
So glad she did this testimony. It’s very important.
Aaah the interviewer, ugh! But Magda is wonderful! Wish she could just tell her story, she is very intelligent, articulate, lovely Woman!
Rubbish! It's the interviewer directing her, so she isn't repeating herself, give them a break.
The interviewer was very polite and empathetic. So what's wrong with you to leave this comment?
Magda was a fantastic person The same can not be said on the interviewer.
There were many thousands of interviews like this all over the world. To make them comparable to each other the interviewers had to apply standard techniques. Judging from what they ask their task was to prompt memories by asking about small details as their story progressed without trying to appear leading, not least to avoid people questioning the verasity of their account. All the interviewers are the same, no matter where in the world they were held.
The interview was very fine. She was empathetic and was not rude at all
How can you even comment that I listened to even more of this interview and the interviewer is so polite and gentle in the way that she's speaking
@@JerseyboondocksI never said she was rude!
@@JerseyboondocksI comment what I feel or think and have listened to hundreds of interviews.
Really hope they are able to update filming to eradicate the gaps
shes pretty
Rip , thank you for your historic contribution.
Imagine being on those trains no toilets no food too many people just so awful
She is so young looking. Wow
"How many people came to your childhood parties" WTF! who knows that??!!
fun one How significant how many people were there 60 or 70 years ago?
Shes helping to recall her memory
how can ANYBODY ask to remove one's camp number??? It is too important as these videos for not forgetting. Thank You nice Lady for not doing it!
I am not sure why all these videos have poor sound. I have the volume turned up as far as it will go and still it's hard to hear.
IT'S YOUR COMPUTER, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM UNTILL I BOUGHT A NEW STRONGER ONE, NOE THE SOUND IS GREAT.
Use headphones
I am using my phone and had to blow into the speaker and it got much louder
But still used my head phones
Kay Can but we can always hear the interviewer 😾🇦🇺
I had to turn my volume all the way up and it still was hard to hear, yet you can hear the moron who conducted the interview breathing!
I can hear it just fine. I've been listening for over an hour now
Her story is very interesting.
It wasn’t Magda’s imagination the food tasted better. It WAS better! No chemicals, artificial fertilizer, preservatives, etc.
قلبي بيتقطع كل م بسمع شهادة من الناجيين.يلي مرو فيه امر مابيتخيلو عقل ولا بيقبلو ضمير.
She's very attractive and doesn't look her age at all.
We must learned a lesson from this history and dark period!
Wow in the beginning with all these odd questions you’d think she was an alien from outer space
When I hear these stories I feel so sad for the Jewish people. The cruelty is so horrible. I get angry also that they were subjected to the horrific treatment they received.
Appreciate that you’re making these available, especially for free. But just a little bit of editing would make the experience better, more professional. Like the siren 🚨 at the beginning that made everyone in the room jump.
Imagine how the people living during this time felt when they heard real air raid sirens.
I have had some of the same frustration with the interviewers until I realized they all ask the same questions and then let these beautiful survivors talk. There is a format they are following. It's hard to get use to but ultimately successful. My one continuing irritation is when they ask a question that's already been answered like her asking where her Father was at the time, when earlier she has gone into detail about him dying by a landmine explosion..🤨 WTH
Around the 10 min she says about her Father dying slowly of an illness when she was 5. Then about 56 mins she says about her Father dying in a landmine. I think maybe she meant her uncle or someone instead. The interviewer never listened obviously because she didnt pick up on it. Either way, this lady is a wonderful soul.
@@hellea.7208Her mother remarried it was her step father.
I wish the people recording would use better sound systems.
The woman interviewer is a bit daft. Silly questions.
It helps to recall memories .
Many of these interviews are more like lectures. The interviewer rarely interrupts, just asks for clarification
I have watched many of these Shoah Foundation videos and it seems like many of the survivors spent time working in the Canada unit and wonder if that may have contributed to their survival since conditions were a little less severe and there was more access to extra food.
The Kanada unit was spelled this way
And it was warm maybe not so backbreaking and cold and maybe some food was accessed
All these testimonies should be studied in the schools to educate each generation never ever to repeat the atrocities nazis(german, austrian, hungarian, french, polish, baltic, ukrainian etc.) committed.People tend to excuse, pardon ,forget and repeat.
I agree. Currently those in positions of power in the USA are fighting to get rid of teaching CRT in University so I doubt they would want to teach this sadly. The USA is on the edge of facism right now. They want to round up immigrants and abolish the lgbtq community and ending specialized women's healthcare. Be aware of Project 25.
So pretty
Five minutes in and I'm already aggravated by the interviewer constantly asking her to spell things
Makes me think of Rachel, in the Bible, crying for her children, she could not be comforted! 😪
Corinne Oppenheimer was the interviewer for Kitty Hart Moxon. Her constant interruptions and pointless questions are very annoying. Plus her heavy breathing and the constant use of the word “Right” prove her skills at interviewing leave a lot to be desired!
This woman is incredible down to her red fingernails.🖤
❤️
The volume is too low!!?
3:50:20 I’m sure that some workers in ‘Kanada’ were able to snag a diamond or 2, it would take a second to swallow a stone and they could just fish it out of the loo. Irene Zisblatt did the exact same thing
dr
you aare very all
everything screwed up - sound - inexperienced interviewers - a poor job!
In loving memory of Magda, my heart is broken for Isreal and the Jewish people, I am a Christian and only the Lord know's what is coming. I pray I meet you in heaven, on day. God bless all your family and build a hedge of protection around them.
~May the Lord bless them and keep them make His face shine upon them, be gracious unto them. His look face towards them and give them peace.~

3:21:31 a ‘talent competition’ at Auschwitz? Now I’ve heard everything
The sound is POOR !! Check your equipment like the mic and make sure the one being interviewed is able to be heard. The interviewer had no problem being heard...... and it has NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR COMPUTERS . This seems to be a problem with other videos on this topic as well that I have heard. Vedio 2 and 3 have the same problem.
Videos was recorded 20-30 years ago that's the reason
This is almost 30 years old… what do you expect? dolby digital sound? Sound is fine on my phone.
The
They are terrible at interviewing.obnoxious academics seemingly.i want the info and the testimony but frequently the interviewers are extremely frustrating
Why get these people to spell everything? Just put it up on the screen!! Not so difficult!
I know the stupidest questions by interviewer.
kinda lame but the names of her family of origin needs a place of honor.
I agree.
Wonderful "monologue" in Hungarian - a real actress
Is this one a denier?
Indeed a wonderful dialogue in English.
She recited a dramatic monologue that she remembered performing in camp- that is what is being commented on.
@@markhansen5573No, watch from 03:22 to 03:24.
Imagine the information they, the military police, and the inhuman beings that were the powers in charge, were able to attain about the people, all without the internet!!! The detail of it, it took more time and manpower but this was a monsterous evil machine, nonetheless!!!
These are not perfect recordings, we get it. Please be thankful for the blessing and privilege to be able to just view and listen to, the record of her life, in and of itself. I do not think they have a large budget. BUT WHATEVER THE REASON JUST QUIT WITH THE COMPLAINING AND CRITQUE!!! JUST DEAL WITH IT AND BE GRATEFUL!
UR.very beatyful woman UR.I wish i have wife like U .
I find her voice sounds like the queen of England 😬
Why does it matter how you spell something!!! Surely this ladies story is more important .. Not a very good interviewer
its in case someone recognises her name.. these videos have reunited many many long lost friends and families.
Youve clearly never watched other testimonies and have no idea.
are they supposed to guess the spelling later?
