Who else wants a Q&A about Bailey's tattoos??
If im not mistaken didnt She comment before that her tattoos are very private to her and that she will not share that? But I agree with you! I would love to know. But I truly don't blame her if she doesn't want to tell us. She has to have some privacy!!
She might be ok to tell us about a couple of them. Maybe she will just show a few of them for us. If not, I respect that too. The ones I can see are so beautiful.
I think she has on a MMMM.
@@tracy_davis I just wanna see the bats! I'd be soooo happy!!! I have several reasons for wanting bats🦇💕🫂
@@stevieemo4366 I have a half-sleeve of bats flying around a full moon. I call it my battoo. 🦇🌕 Bats are awesome!!! ❤️
"Ladies and Germs" had me in a different kind of satisfaction. Love Bailey. ✨💅
That's an old Milton Berle reference. Probably older than that.
@@lynnefromthelake I have no idea who's Milton Berle is, sorry. Is he/her from the west? I'm not very knowledgeable in West history since I'm not from there. 🙇♂️
@@gurengenohana860 Milton Berle was a famous comic from the 1940's or 1950s in America. He's far beyond my age, but I remember seeing stuff from his age.
I was gonna send this to my dad as a “f*** your opinion about tattoos”, right up until about the 11:55 mark. Love you girl
@@maggieweimar4693 Tattoos are badass, f*** peeps who can't accept that.
Hello Bailey! Here in the Philippines, we have a 106 year old tattoo artist named Apo Whang Od. In our country, there's a tribe that believes that tattoos were a sign of bravery for men and beauty for women. They put tattoos for each war they fought into. You better check her out.
Tbh I was kinda sad this wasn't mentioned. And other indigenous people's tattoo as well since we're not the only ones who had this tradition.
I’m aware that American Indians have tattoos and would LOVE to know the history of their tattoos. Like did they vary from tribe to tribe, I’m assuming they did. Were it just the men that received them or women allowed and under what circumstances.
It's just so sad that her research about this is very limited. She did not make studies about other tribes. I was so excited when I saw the title co'z I thought she's going to mention these interesting facts from different tribes.
^youtube video of her ❤
She was pointing out the "dark history" of tattoos. Not culturally significant to indigenous rights and practices.
Speaking as a female tattoo artist, this episode is the absolute best to me. I feel privileged and honored to be able to be a part of such an ancient trade - especially as a woman. 🖤
Oh Joan smokes now 😂 I love how Bailey humanizes her! Literally love it
I hope she doesn't get beak & lung crowcer.
@@stephenpmurphy591 or Corvid 19
Are you sure she is humanized......? I mean you never know..... joan could be a werecrow... 🐦⬛
@@virrovero7956 Your 🐦⬛ reminds me of a outstanding You Tube storyteller & narrator.
Raven Reads.
She has an excellent catalog of true scary story's with subtle background rainfall & thunder.
Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🐦⬛
Fun fact. Crows and I think ravens as well actually do enjoy Tabacco :) I've seen (on the internet) crow carefully split open ciggerates and eat the tabbaco and often steal their "owners" (those who have befriended crows) pack of cigs :D
I'm Māori from New Zealand. It's cool to see that Native American culture is similar to ours, in the way that faces were tattooed according to status, tribal affiliation, deception and mana (or spirit). Many men and woman still wear them today as a symbol of our heritage and to keep our traditions going. Thanks for this episode Bailey, it was cool to learn about other interpretations of the art
It is crazy how cultures can have similarities but still be unique
I’m native Canadian, and a childhood friends cousin is a tattoo apprentice. She does traditional designs for natives only and specific tribal symbols for our tribe. I’m In love with the traditional tattoo she gave me, and it makes me proud. I’m very much white passing but this tattoo is a visual sign to everyone that I am not ashamed of my culture and nothing can stop me from celebrating it. We’ve been through so much and our culture criminalized.
Know, my dear, that I am against tattoos for many reasons, including moral and physical, that the area on which the tattoo is drawn will be a cause of body diseases because it will prevent the sun’s rays from reaching it and the heat that the body needs, as well as sufficient coldness and blockage of the sweating pores through which it comes out, and it will cause many sudden and unexpected diseases / And the moral - it will be the cause of the radiance, attraction and attention of the evil, satanic spirit to it, and it penetrates the tattooed area, which causes psychological diseases such as yellowing of the face, frequent headaches, nervousness, depression, anxiety, obsessive nightmares that wear the body and pearls from metaphysical creatures, and they will not come out easily, and their owner may die for these reasons, I love you
@user-ke9ce3cr3h Get a grip Karen. She didn't ask for your opinion or crazy ideas about her tattoos. She is celebrating her culture. Stop being offensive for no reason and trying to make everyone conform to your idea of social propriety. Slay on Ms. Watson!
I love this! tattoos can be such a beautiful way of protesting erasures and white washing of histories. What a lovely thing to be able to carry your community with you on your skin and be reminded of all that came before you in times of loneliness or struggle.
Hopefully for fun. Get the gear and bail. Do trade without someone of the visual aids/etc. maybe.
Does anyone else suddenly feel like they want to go out and get more tattoo work done? 😅
Mines booked for august 😂
Yessss 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
No
We will all be blindsided by some unexpected hurt or pain in life, but Tattoos are the scars we get to choose for ourselves.
I am a tattoo artist that uses ancient traditions to use tattoos as medicine. I love that you did a story on this!
I would love to hear more about this!
@@sundaysundaesundaaay6424 me too! Fascinating
I grew up old school Navy guys with the hula girl tattoos. Then turned “biker” when I was old enough to throw my legs around a bike & of course had to be tattooed then. Now I am amazed at the realistic tattoos artist do. The artists now are truly artists. Learning how far back tattoos actually go & how they were done is absolutely amazing.
Please share more. ❤
I think I’d fly anywhere for a healing tattoo!
Hey Bailey!! I had an idea for a dark history episode....what about the dark history of roller coasters and amusement parks??
Yes she can talk about the euthanasia roller coaster, and all the shady things they use to do to cut on the costs which means less safety

I live in Japan so I’m so happy you went into the Japanese tattooing history!! I wish you’d touched on the traditional tattoos of the Ainu and Ryukyuan people and how banning tattooing was part of Wajin Japanese efforts to destroy their traditional cultures but there was so much else to cover in this video so I totally get that there wasn’t enough time!
Bailey makeup in this video is so snatched it could be a filter. The blending? The drama? The brows? I'm obsessed with ittttt! Pls give us this look during a MMM so I can learn!!!!
Anyone else want Bailey to do a video on all of her tattoos? And if there is meaning behind them? I always love when I notice one that I didn’t notice before!
Ya I was curious too but she has talked about them before and her tattoos actually don’t have meaning. She didn’t want to disappoint us but it’s more of an art piece that she loves or “collects” . That’s why she says she’s an art collector 🙂
@@stephanieperrine8062 I’d still love to see them all!
Great idea.
I watched her MMM episode today and noticed a neck tattoo for the first time. And I've been watching her for years!

I have a tattoo done by at 7 yr old!!!!! True story. It was his 3rd tattoo!!!!! His dad owns our local shop and he's been training him
As someone from tribes that were later branches from the mississippian group I am very touched that you actually brought that portion up. There are a lot of us working on reviving our traditional tattoos and I myself have gotten hand tattoos so far along side a bunch of modern artwork and an arm band from the designs on our pottery. I won't be stopping anytime soon. I don't know why but just seeing someone else talking about that aspect of the culture in this way really felt nice. thank you.
"Ladies and germs" had me hollering the people in another rooms here woke up!
Joan always has the best outfits
Being a second pilot is a hard life
I didn't start getting tattoos until I was 45 years old. I have tattoos of artwork my grandmothers on both sides of the family created, but sadly no longer exists. The only thing that exists of that artwork are my tattoos. My tattoo artist did an incredible job of replicating that artwork. I am pretty heavily tattooed at nearly 58 years old now and will probably keep getting them until I pass on! 💖
🌹🌸
This will probably be me😅 I'm over 30 no tattoos yet but I LOVE heavily tattooed ppl and just love the look.
What a cool idea!
Love it!
“If you’ve ever seen me before” lol I felt that ❤
I am a collector of tattoos. When I visit a new state, I usually come home with new ink. So far, I have one from Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Florida, and Hawaii.
BAILEY HIT 1 BILLION OVERALL VIEWS! CONGRATS!! 🎉
Not Bailey doing a tattoo episode the day i get a tattoo , thank you QUEEN !
Loving Joan's themed outfit today.
Otzi was one of the first mummies I learned about as a child, I was 6 or 7 and at the end of the school year the library was giving away old books. One of them was one about otzi the ice mummy, I read it cover to cover a million times. It's one of the things that started my lifelong fascination with mummies, archeology, and ancient cultures/traditions. Thank you for mentioning this one, I'm all nostalgic now lol

“We need to know what your tattoos are so it’s easier to identify your body” is something I’ve heard from my dad on many occasions.

@BaileySarian You should do a video about the dark history of adoption and the effects it has on the adoptees and birth mothers!! 😭 Pretty pleaseeeee!!! 😭🥺
YESSSS!!!!! @BaileySarian
Ooof... that could be a whole series...
@@hannahkoz I will literally be crying if she ever does 😭
Yess @BaileySarian please🥺
Yes. Would be so interesting
funny story, my 7 year old got fake tattoos at a birthday party for the first time when he was around 3. he begged me to put them on him that night, all excited abt having a tattoo “like mommy does” (i have around 35 or so) at first he smiled he was happy but like 5 mins later, he realized it wasn’t coming off & proceeded to freak tf out! he was crying sm & so scared of it, so I had to soak it & scrub it off 😅
Man, little kids are funny. My grandson's father is a man from South America, so sometimes there can be conflict that we didn't anticipate, & when I brought them temporary tattoos, they loved them but when he went to visit his father, he was outraged & scrubbed it off too passionately.
😊 my nieces used to try to pick them off my arms lol their parents do not have any and they we so little I think they just wanted to grab my butterflies 🦋
✨Hallmark moment ✨
Baby oil removes temporary tattoos😊
My son did the same with a temporary dinosaur tattoo 😂
Ooooo - micro-needle tattoos, I had no idea. This is very exciting, I really look forward to customizing my pets!!
Joan is looking pretty sharp with her new ink…and I figure if she wants a ciggie after all that work, she deserves it. Great job on this topic.🖤🇨🇦
Dr. Sarian is my favorite history prof 😌
i mean she doesn’t have a doctorate but prof. sarian would be more appropriate lol
Honestly, I’d go back to college for my Master’s if she was the prof.
My first tattoo the day I turned 18 was a butterfly on my lower back. 25 years later I'm going next week for my 32nd (I think) tattoo. I come from a super religious family and I say I'm decorating my temple all the time. I worked in a tattoo shop for years and also have some pretty cliche tattoos. I freaking love this video! I've been here since 2019 ❤
Bailey, check out Teej Poole. I have 3 but him and he's truly amazing!
Now that Bailey finally did a DH on Tattoos, I hope she also does one for make up! That would be so interesting and on theme.
I very much enjoyed this story. Btw, I had to comment on what a great set, lighting, and camera work! Absolutely the most professional CZcamsr that I watch. 👏💞

They really are😊
Too true. I had my first little butterfly done at 40 as a sign of rebellion (long story). Now 60, am planning #5. All are quite small though but have very deep meaning for me.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great topic as usual Bailey. Having said that, in my medical career tattoos are frown upon, if a medical staff has any visual tattoos they need to be covered. Needless to say, this goes for private institutions, although more & more are accepting medical staff with tattoos, since the public are more welcoming. That is as long as the medical staff doesn't have tattoos all over their face & neck. I have always stated that my knowledge and experience plus credentials, should speak for itself. I own 3 tattoos, which are tribal ones including the caduceus medical symbol. Stay Safe & Healthy... Abrazos
Love this episode! Egypt was so friggin cool, I want a lower back tattoo now! I am a licensed acupuncturist ( with a lotus tat on my left wrist) and we actually studied Otzi both in my uni undergrad and at acupuncture college

Do a video about your tattoos! Just tell us about them, why you chose the colors, the meanings behind them, if you thought they were just cool, and what you were going threw when you got them, what life was like at the time. A dark history for Bailey, or... a herstory of Bailey... ❤
