Trust!!! those of us that came up in the Rene & Angela era are WIDE AWAKE on Angela Winbush... she is HER!
Brings back so many memories, back in the day they played what they called “ The Quiet Storm” love songs after 12 midnight every night on black ( r&B soul) radio stations(K97 FM in Memphis), whether you were with that significant other or by yourself it was just a groove to listen to late at night. Just so chill! And this one of the of those that they had to play, this was fire 🔥! Especially if you were out riding around..
Unfortunately, we didn't have any of these channels in Germany.

I just bought the CD ,,Street Called Desire ,,
1985, from the cupboard. The song ,, You don't have to cry ,, is the 4th song on the record. On this record great musicians and technicians participated. Mixed by Bruce Swedien he also mixed with Quincy Jones and many others. Guitars by Paul Jackson or Donald Griffin. Percussion Paulinho Da Costa ,String arrangements Jerry Hey as well as Kurtis Blow and many more. I am very happy that I still have this record, because unfortunately I don't own much music by Angela Windbush.
