When I removed my left joycon from the switch, it would act like it had never seen a switch console before in it's life and not even try to connect. Doing the disconnect control feature featured in this video fixed this issue which I have had for a long time. Thank you!

@@saltypotatochip4707 Mine was working, but wasn't registering as attached to the system, but it could still charge off of the Nintendo Switch just fine, if you can get it to recharge, try using the sync button?

Thank you so much for this video! Nintendo really needs to fix this in a firmware update. There is absolutely no reason this should be happening to so many people and require a DIY fix.
Firmware update can't do anything about dirt fouling the electrical contacts

To me my joy one looked clean so I blew on the side of my switch where the joy cons connect and blew on the Jon cons and it fixed it đ my red joy con wasnât being picked up by handheld but after blowing and cleaning them they are good. Itâs been a few days now and they havenât disconnected once by handheld!

FYI I had an issue where the left Joy Con kept disconnecting during handheld... tried different joy-cons and realized it was the left rail on the tablet itself that was not working correctly. Had to buy a replacement rail to fix it. Relatively easy fix and there are some videos online on how to do it.

The first one worked for me and ive tried so many videos, tysmmmm
The 3 ways to fix your joycon.
Step 1: Restart your joycon and pair it 2 times and then sleep on it.
Step 2: Blow compressed air on the connector and port like it's an old gameboy.
Step 3: If you still have a warranty.
Ok so with the first step my controller won't connect because the controller is dead. On step 2 the controller still makes that click sound when I put it back in and the 3rd step DON'T YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE ALREADY ASKED FOR A REPLACEMENT BY A WARRANTY IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Only correction for you: you need to hold the compressed gas level otherwise liquid dribbles out (as you saw). Hold the can level (like it's sitting on a table), and move the Switch around.
i just wanted to ask. are u sure its compressed GAS? not compressed air?

Right I keep seeing videos that says press and hold x but if thatâs the controller that doesnât work how can u press x smh. Pressing the button on the side of the controller did fix the problem.
