    Everybody have intrusive and negative thoughts but the difference between anxious people and other people is that anxious people believe everything their mind tells them. That's what I used to do until I discovered CBT

    How long can people be fully recovered after the CBT? Is it a temporary relief or permanent after we learn and practice?

    • @SelfHelpToons
      @SelfHelpToons  Před 7 měsíci +6

      A big part of managing most mental health issues is relapse prevention. If we manage to recover from OCD or depression or an anxiety disorder, etc, relapse is much less likely if we continue to do the things that helped us feel better in the first place. But once we feel better, it's easy to start neglecting things that helped us recover. And that can lead us to gradually start to relapse. Then the longer we wait before re-implementing the strategies that helped us recover, the more likely it is we fully relapse.
