Do similar fishing with a 5Foot ultra Lite Ugly stick and small lures or flies , some craic and great to get out the house. Nice video lad. Good to see an irish youtuber

Thanks Garrett, this river only holds brown trout, nothing else bar a few minnows and sticklebacks. 👌 no doubt the perch and pike would hammer it otherwise! 😁

I’d like to get a spare spool for my daiwa ninja 1000 to have one mono and one braid but the spools seem impossible to find 👀
@@senanstanleyfishing forget spare spools! My mono spares gathering dust ! Put braid on , whatever you can get lighter the better , 20 inches of floro for leader . You’ll set more hooks .

Great fishing senan love the videos man 🙌🏻 I used this lure today out on the lake and got plenty of small trout and perch it’s brillant for them but hooked a 2lb trout and he broke off one of the hooks and bent another ….🤦♂️ do you think I could put on a bigger trebler for bigger fish

Good to hear they work out on the lake, I noticed the hooks are a bit soft, the only thing I’d say Is if your replacing a hook, make sure the new hook is the same weight as the old one or else the lures action will be lost, the vibration of the tail really get the trouts attention it’s class 👏

Class vid, how are the rivers in Ireland, in wales at the mo they ar low and clear so it’s your hard to spin
Thank you 👌 they are low and clear here at the minute too, could do with some rain, It’s tough going in the low water, usually downsize the lures and just target the deeper holes, still difficult tho 😅🎣

I reckon they would, I’d say any form of trout or salmon would take it, the tail gives off serious vibrations and the body stays straight as an arrow, it’s pretty cool ☺️👌

do ya use braided line or mono what rod would ya recommend for trout worm and spinning
I use mono. Maxima ultragreen 5lb. Braid is great but has to be ultra light low diameter
. I don’t worm fish myself anymore but for spinning the savage gear sg4 ultra light rod is brilliant 0.5-5 gram . 👍
I never can catch trout on a spinner is there a nack in it or is it there's feck all trout in the river you seem to catch one every cast are they stocked rivers
No they aren’t stocked all the small rivers I fish are completely wild. Cast your lure upstream and work it down with the flow, the trout always sit facing upstream 👍

These small rivers are easy targets for poachers it’s best to keep the names of them off the videos that are going out on the internet, I’d be the first person to help lads with Fishing advice but I can’t name these small locations on the off chance the wrong crowd takes notice of it. ☺️✌️it’s nothing personal with lads asking for exact locations, but I won’t be the reason a spot gets cleared out.
