- While I was at the BC Overland Rally in Merrit I discovered a very innovative, modern ultra lightweight solution for fullsize and midsize trucks.
The EXP-1 is a full size overcab expedition unit designed for longbox truck / trailer installation.
Using the information and experiences from the industrial market ArmorLite has designed two of the most advanced expedition style units on the market. Built with our standard Exobody construction techniques the EXP-1 is built for full size truck and trailer installation while the EXP-2 was designed for the mid size truck market.

I love the camper buildout at the end. It'd go great on a hybrid Tacoma off-road with negligible MPG degradation. I'd want a second solar panel and that posterior roof, though.

@@robertbehan9186 when it comes to campers. its almost always better to diy it. all you need is foam board for the walls. the material used for the skeletal structure that would depend on your budget. some use wood, aluminum, or steel.
they did a great job in design, i see on their site it has toilet. not sure if its outside access cassette but most likely not otherwise they would be touting it

On their website, the larger one had four solar panels on the roof for 400 watts.
That is enough solar to keep most things going without having to drag out portable solar panels.

Love the campers but the price? Simply no.
It is beautiful! If you dont get some screens on all those windows and vents that open up for air, your unit will be filled with insects in no time and all. Over 50K? Good luck. I dont know anyone that can afford that.

Just have the dinette turn into bed
The 2nd one would be cool if it had a different layout. Instead of overhead bed. Have dinette turn to bed. And make it popup on the entrance part. So camper will be low for traveling and when in dinette, roof wont be to low do to the roof angle since other side is lifted.

Wow. Expensive. 1 100 watt panel? 220 amp hour battery? For a box with windows I can sleep in on my truck. I can probably make 10 of these things for the price your asking for 1. I do like the door and the rub railing. Personally would have went with EcoFlow over Milwaukee for the battery.

Where do you do #1 and #2?
Interesting but not quite there yet for my need:
1: Long bed pickup, as i n 8 feet.
2. Extended not crew cab.
3. Cab-over all the way to windshield.
4. Height for tall person only when sitting on bed to clear ceiling. No taller.
5. Cab-over is storage, not sleeping.
6. Cross-bed aux fuel tank for long range, means the camper or cap has a "step" and goes around it.
7. Roof optimized for solar,.
8. Large LiFePo4 battery bank in extended cab space. No propane, all electric in the camper.

How much is that second unit? This is a very competitive design and build. I have to say they are leading the pack with truck campers. Very impressive engineering. But where is the toilet? Lol.

I bet you pay half before they start the build & the rest due on delivery. Otherwise they would be stuck trying to sell without all the upgrades added. Its nice but its a little over priced.Other companies will start making similar ones at a lower price
Has anyone heard anything about these units? They showed their camper at AOA Expo last September and have been radio silent since. Have any production units made it out to customers? Vaporware?
The white full sized camper is a customer owned unit, that was at the show. They live full time in the camper on Vancouver Island. So at least one 😁

I like everything but that dam window opener, it should not stick out, that's a liability. Install an electric window opener/closer, you fell down on that after thought. Other than that they are cool.

I can by the brand new NOBO 16.1
for 23 grand. That one is all aluminum and double azdale panels. Dry bath, kitchen, full solar with inverter all included 200 watts to start of roof panels.
The inverter runs all the 12 volt inside and a/C outlets. 12 volt 8 cubic ft

Rv manufacturers are pricing themselves out of the market. The average Joe will be left out. With price of fuel and campgrounds added in, it won’t be happy campers out there. I grew up in the business both as a manufacturer and a dealer. The business will shrink drastically. Too bad.

To be honest with you everything is overpriced, I look at the price of sprinter van conversions and nearly fall over and then I look at earth roomers and that’s just next level. Hard to find a balance down right.
This is way to over priced there probably charging at least twice what I cost to build it!
I’ve looked at bed campers for 10 years and i has to have a bathroom for me I’ll never be at a campsite.
Looks like I’ll just end up building my own. All these camper manufactures add so much garbage that just isn’t needed like those windows. Yeah sure they’re cool and nice but it definitely adds to that overly expensive price. And most campers have a sink in the bathroom taking up valuable space I see so much with this camper that is just overboard and they’re charging way too much the closest camper that I’ve been able to find that even remotely comes close to something that I would buy instead of building myself is built by two women and it’s called Beech Romer it’s bigger and has a bathroom has everything you want and it’s half the price of this

design is great! but worth that price? out of mind that desire that price! that is a big house's price so great design became greedy disgusting desire! Products builder are not suppose to make 70% of profit no matter how good mostly charge 20% for design already hit to ceiling!
