This was my first time hearing this. Then I listened to MGK's. Then listened again to Em's UNINTERRUPTED by random pauses, and it's clear that Em destroyed him. I love Dre, but I think you should listen to this again a few times to grasp the lyrics and the punch lines.

Nope no getting in your feeling about the PAC line. MGK diss was something catchy hype track to make money off of but not much of a diss to me. I had to listen a couple times to understand eminem's diss fully. I then realized mgk's diss (which was cool) is basic, level 1, and thin surfaced. Ems diss is lyrical, layered and deep. Expert vs novice in the art of diss. Listen to the 2 multiple times. The younger generations ears have been spoiled with fancy beats and catchy hooks. They forgot nor remember what a real lyricist sounds like. Listen a couple more times, you will understand.

TBH, I sorta felt the same way after first listening to “Killshot” than I listened to it a couple more times. The song isn’t as catchy as “Rap Devil” BUT Goddamn does it have more layers and substance. The best way I can describe it is Rap Devil feels like a 1 time summer song you listen to with your friends the entire month than it gets old and you never think of it again. Killshot on the other hand is absolute poetry and can be remembered. Agree? Disagree? Wait until next year and we won’t even talk about it. 😎
It’s growing on me. I’ve made quite a few anti-Killshot comments on this vid; I had listened to the track 3 times or so before I ever commented. After listening a few more times, it’s growing on me some. I’m still not a huge fan of the track, but I’m never really super into Eminem’s stuff. He just doesn’t hit my ear right, if that makes sense. My friends and I were 20-21years old when “My Name Is” dropped, and a few of them got really into Eminem. I never did. I’m not a hater or anything, he’s just not my shit.

Here are 5 points why Eminem came out victorious in my eyes. 1. People say it was clever that MGK praised and dissed Eminem at the same time. (not actually clever) And they go off saying that MGK had the better beat. So, in Eminem's rap, since people are all about MGK throwing in praise while dissing, Eminem mentions that he gives props to MGK for the beat. (I give you a B for your beat) but in an actual clever way is throwing in that MGK's lyric battling however is nothing compared to what he brings. As we all know that in a rap battle, its not about the beat that wins or loses. 2. People that decide MGK is better because eminem is talking about having more success is asinine. They are negating the fact, that yea, Eminem is going to throw it out, because apparently MGK is dissing eminem for being rich, and hates him for being rich. So, in a battle, a way to get under a person's skin with an attack, is to throw something that they hate and shoving it in their face. So Eminem is like, "yea, i am rich, and we all know i am richer. Why that is? You dissing me, knowing it will cause a stir and get people talking because my name, my brand is connected. You are literally using me to put food on the table, and yet trying to diss me at the same time saying I am taking food away from your table. Eminem just downright cuts down MGK right there alone on how dumb that is. 3. In almost a minute less time than MGK's song length, Eminem is spewing lyric after lyric, bar after bar with multiple rhythms, as well as imitating and throwing back MGK's own style rhythm of rapping of rap devil at the beginning. (the paused moments of each word section at the beginning) But then goes on a terror right after with his style of rhythm that changes through the song while not having the dominant beat of his track taking precedent over his actual lyrics and rapping. He is making those two things the actual main focus of the track. Which is the better thing to do in a battle of course. If you are having people walking away and mostly talking about the beat they had moreso than the rap and lyrics themselves always comes out as a loss. Or a very weak diss battle track. That is a no no. When you read statements from people that vote for MGK as the winner, their main reason is usually always at the very top, "he had a better beat!" 4. MGK, despite being right under a minute longer of a track than Eminem's, he actually repeats the Chorus 3 times. 3 freaking times!! Meaning? He has to repeat lyrics over and over in this rap battle of his for the song to come right under the 5 minute mark. Eminem meanwhile, almost reaches the same time length as MGK's track without once having a chorus line. Not. One. To me, in rap battles, that always gives you major points over the other rapper when it not needing to have a chorus line, nor needing to repeat it multiple times in a rap battle. (My god) 5. Critics against Eminem pointing out the ending about Diddy and Tupac. They fail to apparently realize that Eminem has a shout out to Diddy at the actual very end apologizing to him. This is actually clever. Because MGK decides to diss him on a track by calling his track "Rap Devil." play on Eminem's "Rap God" track. So Eminem in turn responds with a line on Diddy about Pac, then at the very end going off, "I'm kidding Diddy, you know I love you." Having a play on his own old lyrics of "I'm kidding ladies, you know I love you" from tracks like "Kill You" and "White America"." I had to listen a couple times to understand eminem's diss fully. I then realized mgk's diss (which was cool) is basic, level 1, and thin surfaced.
Ems diss is lyrical, layered and deep. Expert vs novice in the art of diss. Listen to the 2 multiple times. The younger generations ears have been spoiled with fancy beats and catchy hooks. They forgot nor remember what a real lyricist sounds like. Listen a couple more times, you will understand.

TBH, I sorta felt the same way after first listening to “Killshot” than I listened to it a couple more times. The song isn’t as catchy as “Rap Devil” BUT Goddamn does it have more layers and substance. The best way I can describe it is Rap Devil feels like a 1 time summer song you listen to with your friends the entire month than it gets old and you never think of it again. Killshot on the other hand is absolute poetry and can be remembered. Agree? Disagree? Wait until next year and we won’t even talk about it. 😎

It’s growing on me. I’ve made quite a few anti-Killshot comments on this vid; I had listened to the track 3 times or so before I ever commented. After listening a few more times, it’s growing on me some. I’m still not a huge fan of the track, but I’m never really super into Eminem’s stuff. He just doesn’t hit my ear right, if that makes sense. My friends and I were 20-21years old when “My Name Is” dropped, and a few of them got really into Eminem. I never did. Here are 5 points why Eminem came out victorious in my eyes.
1. People say it was clever that MGK praised and dissed Eminem at the same time. (not actually clever) And they go off saying that MGK had the better beat. So, in Eminem's rap, since people are all about MGK throwing in praise while dissing, Eminem mentions that he gives props to MGK for the beat. (I give you a B for your beat) but in an actual clever way is throwing in that MGK's lyric battling however is nothing compared to what he brings. As we all know that in a rap battle, its not about the beat that wins or loses.
2. People that decide MGK is better because eminem is talking about having more success is asinine. They are negating the fact, that yea, Eminem is going to throw it out, because apparently MGK is dissing eminem for being rich, and hates him for being rich. So, in a battle, a way to get under a person's skin with an attack, is to throw something that they hate and shoving it in their face. So Eminem is like, "yea, i am rich, and we all know i am richer. Why that is? You dissing me, knowing it will cause a stir and get people talking because my name, my brand is connected. You are literally using me to put food on the table, and yet trying to diss me at the same time saying I am taking food away from your table. Eminem just downright cuts down MGK right there alone on how dumb that is.
3. In almost a minute less time than MGK's song length, Eminem is spewing lyric after lyric, bar after bar with multiple rhythms, as well as imitating and throwing back MGK's own style rhythm of rapping of rap devil at the beginning. (the paused moments of each word section at the beginning) But then goes on a terror right after with his style of rhythm that changes through the song while not having the dominant beat of his track taking precedent over his actual lyrics and rapping. He is making those two things the actual main focus of the track. Which is the better thing to do in a battle of course. If you are having people walking away and mostly talking about the beat they had moreso than the rap and lyrics themselves always comes out as a loss. Or a very weak diss battle track. That is a no no. When you read statements from people that vote for MGK as the winner, their main reason is usually always at the very top, "he had a better beat!"
4. MGK, despite being right under a minute longer of a track than Eminem's, he actually repeats the Chorus 3 times. 3 freaking times!! Meaning? He has to repeat lyrics over and over in this rap battle of his for the song to come right under the 5 minute mark. Eminem meanwhile, almost reaches the same time length as MGK's track without once having a chorus line. Not. One. To me, in rap battles, that always gives you major points over the other rapper when it not needing to have a chorus line, nor needing to repeat it multiple times in a rap battle. (My god)
5. Critics against Eminem pointing out the ending about Diddy and Tupac. They fail to apparently realize that Eminem has a shout out to Diddy at the actual very end apologizing to him. This is actually clever. Because MGK decides to diss him on a track by calling his track "Rap Devil." play on Eminem's "Rap God" track. So Eminem in turn responds with a line on Diddy about Pac, then at the very end going off, "I'm kidding Diddy, you know I love you." Having a play on his own old lyrics of "I'm kidding ladies, you know I love you" from tracks like "Kill You" and "White America"." Plus, Eminem is instead of dissing any track of MGK's with a title track, he disses MGK by having the title of his track "Killedshot" resembling an earlier track of his own called, "Kill You." How is this clever? It's Eminem's way of saying, "none of your tracks are worth mentioning."

The guy was basically invisible to the rap game, whilst Eminem Is statistically the most successful rapper of all time.
