    I love bead embroidery and the piece you made is exquisite ❤. I watched a Russian lady do bead embroidery. What I found most interesting that she did to her piece at the end was the way she did the backing. She padded the back with paper cut to fit and a thin foam like material cut to fit and then the ultra suede or a piece of leather. I’m doing my pieces like that now. It minimizes the feel of the stone and beads through the back, and it looks great 😊.

    This is just absolutely gorgeous, thanks for sharing this tutorial. Any recommendations on where to get crystals like this one in the video?

      Hi Crystal.
      I got the crystals from Potomac Bead Co.
      I believe I put a link to them on the blog post on my website.
      Have fun.

    Absolutely beautiful! Thank you sharing. Just starting out with bead embroidering, so very new to this. You mentioned your backing is interface, what us the difference between using interface and stiff stuff? Hopefully you'll tell me either can be used, but interface costs less. Ive found stiff stuff is pretty pricy.

      Hello,
      I honestly have never spent out for Lacie's stiff stuff. It is expensive.
      Interfacing is available in many fabric stores and departments for a much better price.
      Both items are used for the same exact purposes. Interfacing is available in many different levels of stiffness as well. I hope this helps you out.
      Personally, I am going to stick with interfacing.

      @AlluringBeader So sorry I don't mean to be a bother but I have another question. Seems there are many types of interfacing and i didn't know which one to get. Which kind do you use? Thanks.

    • @AlluringBeader
      @AlluringBeader  Před 3 měsíci

      I suggest you hit the fabric department and look for Pellon non fusible. There are varying weights to choose from, so you can decide by project which is most suitable. I used a heavier weight in the tutorial because it was a component, but you may want a medium weight for bracelets etc.
      Hope this helps.

    Hello
    What is this base called on which you are making the pattern?

    • @AlluringBeader
      @AlluringBeader  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Isha
      This is a stiff and thicker type of interfacing. Many beaders use a type called Lacie's Stiff Stuff but this is from an upholstery and drapery shop. Hope this helps you out and have fun with your own beading.
