Brian, I'm sure you probably know this already, but I think it might be worth mentioning that if you have Windows 10 or 11 Pro, (and therefore you have Group Policy Editor available), policy changes can be applied and activated without needing to restart. All you need to do is open a an Administrative Command Prompt and type: *gpupdate /force* and wait for the system to reply that the update was successful.

About Registry: It´s important you know exactly what you are doing with it. It´s supposed to be used by other programs or 3rd party software. It´s a very sensitive part of Windows. One incorrect change, as small as it can be, and Windows may not be able to boot.

@@Britec09 Exactly. All the tinkering (and "developing") of Windows 11 just seems to introduce as many new bugs as it does improvements to the system - very unMicrosoft-like)
I cannot, for the life of me, understand why someone would migrate to Windows 11 from Windows 10 if they don't have to (and especially if their PC doesn't have the full stated requirements to run Windows 11)!
Why not just wait a while until Windows 11 is better developed and some of the bugs have been "ironed-out?"
Windows 11 seems a bit like the Austin Allegro of OSs: not properly tried, tested and developed by the manufacturer - the poor users are expected to be the development test-drivers.....
