Cabe mencionar que al momento de traducir Zai Jian Wo De Airen se me hizo complicado darle "al clavo" ya que no encontré la palabra exacta, según la traducción sería "Adiós mi esposo", pero esto en el castellano no se oye muy bien, así es que lo tome como simplemente "Adiós mi amor" que es como Teresa, en el instante 2:53, dice solo Wo De Ai Zai Jian que sería la mejor expresión para "Adiós mi Amor".

My mum was a Taiwanese. She died of cancer when I was 7, then I followed my dad (who's an European) back to Europe. I couldn't see my mum ever again )': the night before she passed away, we were singing this song together. She told me if I ever miss her I just listen to this song & know that she's always spiritually here with me. This year is my turn, I'm 15 and I have cancer. Listening to this gives me strength and reminds me the strength my mum had to get through the illness.

So glad to be born in an era at the height of TT music. Her love songs represents entire generation of people oppressed looking to emerge from despair. She reunited entire generation of Asians torn by war. She outsold Michael Jackson as her music was illegal and could be obtained with dubbed cassettes. Listened to her in my mother’s womb, I remember my parents going shopping in Shanghai, entire neighbourhood, had her music playing, went into department, store playing TT’s music, afterwards went outside, a man riding his bicycle with a boom box playing this song, came home and my next door neighbour still playing her music.
Life was so much simpler in those times....
She cried because she just won her 3rd consecutive end of year number 1 prize in a renowned Japanese pop music award. She worked very hard to get the incredible achievement so she is emotional in the awarding ceremony. It's tears of joy.

The melody and lyrics of Plum Flower bring tears to my eyes every time I listen to the touching song. Every single word in the lyrics reminds us of our Chinese identity no matter where we go. We Chinese in the Mainland, Taiwan and Overseas alike, have gone through thick and thin but we will remain Chinese always (冰雪风雨它都不怕 它是我的国花). It doesn't matter if it is PRC or RoC, the Mainland or Taiwan. Both of them are China, our ancestral land. (梅花坚忍象征我们 巍巍的大中华)

Film ini bercerita tentang kisah cinta antara seorang pemuda Eropa yang sedang berkunjung di salah satu negara Asia. Pemuda itu jatuh cinta kepada seorang gadis Asia. Pada akhir cerita sang pemuda yang kebetulan seorang pangeran harus kembali ke negaranya dan harus meninggalkan sang kekasih. Perpisahan itu diiringi dengan lagu ini. Sangat mengharukan dan saya sangat terkesan. Kemudian saya membeli kasetnya. Semua lagu-lagu dalam kaset ini sangat saya sukai, termasuk lagu Shei Lai Ai Wo walaupun saya tidak tahu artinya. Setelah menikah dan punya anak, lagu-lagu dalam kaset ini menjadi pengantar tidur anak saya bila sedang susah tidur. Bahkan cucu saya bila sedang tidak bisa tidur juga saya perdengarkan lagu ini dari HP (CZcams). Sampai sekarang saya sendiri masih sering mendengarkan lagu ini

Oh yes you should go and visit her gravesite. I visited her grave with flowers 2 years ago 2015 to pay my respect. Its was so beautiful and such a serene place with flowers grown all over. There is a statue of her in the compound of her burial ground plus a musical device installed that music comes out automatically when step on it. I also bought some stamps of Teresa Teng printed in 4 countries that honored her since her passing. Actually there are a total of 8 countries that printed stamps to honor her but that was what I could get at that time when I was there. Last year 2016 I visited the hotel in Chang Mai, Thailand where she died. The suite where she stayed in the hotel is very well preserved for tourists. So if you have the time when you visit Taiwan, visit Chang Mai too. It was so emotional for me when I walked into the room. You can see so many pictures of her and personal belongings still kept in excellent condition. And you something, the hotel staff who take care of the suite is the staff who served Teresa Teng whenever she stayed in the hotel and is still there taking care of the room despite Teresa has 22 years ago. He is very loyal to Teresa Teng and a big fan too. He was offered promotion many times to other places but turned down all so that he can continue to care for room and talk to any tourist who like to know more about Teresa Teng. Very nice person to talk to. Wish a pleasant journey and wonderful experience when you go to Taiwan and Chang Mai.

This is the first ever Deng Li Jun (邓丽君) song that I very much love listening to the moment I first heard it decades ago. "小城故事" literally means "Story of a Small Town or City". Perhaps, the combination of her soft and lovely voice + good melody and excellent musical arrangements just gives me a kind of feelings of relax and peace of mind, with full of nostalgia. I bought the cassette tape of this song and gave it to my father for his transistor radio and he loved it instantly he played it with his transistor radio.
