Look at the success John Calipari has had throughout his career. To say he isn't a HOF coach you would be an idiot. The man has made alot of young men rich and has built 2 or 3 of the top 10 teams in the history of the NCAA. He has developed kids into superstars and brought BBN back into the spotlight after a 10 year drought. Say what you want but John Calipari is definitely a HOF coach and one of the best of the best. 💯💯 That my friend is just the cold hard truth.

Hes probably go down as one of the best college hoop recruiters of all time. Might not be the best coach as far as Xs n Os but his players will do anything for the man. I lived 10 minutes from UMASS, when he took that program over 1988 i believe it was, I was 6....The team was playing in a gym that would be considered lousy by high school standards let alone D1 in college. They went from being a luaghingstock, to NIT champs, to divisional powerhouse, and at the end of his tenure a perrenial national powerhouse. This all happened in less than a decade, 8 years. It was fun as hell for me as a kid during that time we went to the game at new multimillion dollar sports arena, the mullins center, and I attended his basketball camp for a week one summer. Met him personally, along with Marcus Camby, Lou Roe, n several other of my favorite players from thAt era over the course of the week. Coach Cal could probably sell snow to an eskimo.

Fuck no. Not after his publicly stating that championships aren't the end game for the UK programme. In fact, I blame Calipari's mindset for the slow demise of both NBA and NCAA basketball. For all the recent chatter about watered down talent pools, you can thank this man right here for the staggering number of unprepared and under developed "pro" basketball players in today's NBA.

Duke had been to the final 4 in the 60's as well as the Cahampionship game in '78. K elevated them in a major way, but they didn't rise from the ash heap of college basketball.

@@Fakename70 you don't have a clue what your even talking about. Under developed NBA players??? You do realize that if you make the NBA then you obviously don't have development issues. And the fact that Calipari has had numerous recruits become superstars in the NBA. More than 90 percent of any other coach in the country. You are dillusional if you believe anything you just said.

Eh d+3, They won't let you in the HOF. As far as your alleged cheating, California had nothing to do with it. I've coached high school, and there are rules there too, but a coach can't see everything. These kids hatch stupidity on their own frequently. He never saw Camby take money and he didn't take that test for Rose or whomever. But he took responsibility. Memphis was willing to pay him more than he made at UK to keep him. They knew it wasn't his fault. You need to educate yourself and not while sitting on Booby Knights lap.
