Totally agree about making it as easy as possible for them. For example, don't make them travel, especially if it's a lot of effort, to to your office just so you record them there. Go to them, which is also better because you can record them in the action aand within the comfort of their own environment.

What if the company has hired you to do the testimonial videos? Would it be best if I did the heavy lifting - reaching out to the clients and prepping them instead of the company? Thinking about how to alleviate the time constraints of the company if they're investing in me. Thanks for the value!
Here's the thing, you don't have a relationship with them but your client does. It's much more likely that the customer will agree to do this if your client reaches out first. I would at least have your client start the conversation, demonstrate how important that customers story is, and THEN introduce you as the video part of the equation.
This is really good. 5 years later, still impactful.
