Any ideas as to how to memorize the notes in chords. Or songs for that matter. I've been playing with the guitar for quite some time, I'm still a beginner.
honestly, when I started out, it was a lot of repeating a pattern over and over. holding the C major shape and saying the notes out loud "C-E-G" then holding the D major shape and saying out loud "D-F#-A" it's a lot of recognizing patterns and then repeating those patterns long enough to build strong neural pathways in your brain. :) This is one reason why I group songs together. for instance, most hymns follow a specific pattern of the I-IV-I-V chords if you're interested in private lessons or personalized videos you can email me at ZacharyTeachesMusic@gmail.com
