Hey Bob and Brad. Just found your channel because I injured my shoulder today while snowboarding. I've come to the conclusion it is not a rotator cuff and I think it will heal just fine , most likely a strain in my opinion and from watching your videos. I did want to say though that your audio quality seems better 4 years ago then it does today. I see you guys switched to different mics so I'm sure that's why, just wanted to let you know! Keep putting out the awesome PT videos!

Thank you for your video. About five months ago I injured both sides of my abdomen. I used bands that were two tough pulled hard twisting on both sides. The next day my stomach swelled huge. It was hard and burning and contracting. I couldn’t sleep for days it was burning. I couldn’t get my doctor. I got a walk in and he sent me for an ultrasound. So much pain felt like I was being cut everywhere. Spoke to my doctor he said do stretches. I tried to do some slow work out and stomach swells again like I’m at the beginning. Doesn’t feel like my stomach anymore. It burns not sure when it will stop. 😰 Five months after injury.

After 3 min on an exercise bike at the PT clinic, I had intense pain in the hip ligaments on one side, and then the other. The PT aide set the distance too short between my hips and the pedals. He set the timer for 6 min, and walked away. I stopped in pain in 3 min of slow pedaling. I had just recovered after 11 months since the last intense hip pain from sitting in a taxi with short leg room. For weeks, I had trouble with normal movement. I was disappointed in this setback and wonder what's in store over the next several weeks? I had no hip issues prior to a year ago. It felt like a tear for months, especially going up the stairs. I seemed to completely recover, then I'm given a pedaling warm up exercise. Back to the doctor, I guess. Thanks for the video Brad and Bob.

Very sorry to hear this. We always follow the rule that if any exercises give you more pain or new pain, stop that exercise immediately. Even if that exercise was given to you by a medical professional. Everyone's bodies are different and not every exercise is for everyone, even with the same conditions. That's why we continuously try to come up with different things for the same ailment, as some may work for some but not others, so there's always room for alternatives! Best of luck,

I know this is an older video, but I just found it. WHY OH WHY is it that various PT’s I have went to for help don’t seem to know anything? No real test/evaluation. My current PT, even though I completely described my issues AND the fact that I have been almost completely sedentary for almost 3 years, immediately prescribed exercises, 3 sets of 10 (total 30), that ended up putting me in bad pain AGAIN for several days. They don’t understand rest but instead doing stretches to the same muscles that hurt so bad. I have been having bad hip pain in various areas for almost a year, every PT session seems to make something hurt.

you may want to think about dancing less, as we age more time is needed to recover also length of session could be shortened . I came off a galloping horse years ago. I disengaged my feet from stirrups as taught, tied the reins and lept off in a tuck roll. My left buttock hit a big rock very hard. I was unconscious. My family carried me from backfield on a lawn chair stretcher. Ambulance flew me to Toronto Mount Sinai. I had imaging etc done to make sure internal organs survived. One overnight and I was released by wheelchair. I was black bruised from left knee up to waistline including buttock. Years of pain I feel a lump like a torn balled up ligament. No one has ever investigated. I have had pre existing sciatica and now leaving my fifties everyone instantly thinks hip replacement. This torn bulge has affected my walking, my sleep and ability to sit for long for years. What Imaging or tests should I ask for? This is such neglect of a serious injury. Awful unaddressed pain.
