A beautiful show in multiple ways. The expression of love and care through food, an insight into traditional, simpler times that did not rely on the internet, smart phones and rubbish social media. If anything this show illustrates to all of us how far we have drifted away from being a person like Kiyo. The most amazing aspect to the show is the incredible Japanese comfort food. Wow that was a highlight. I hope Netflix does another season.

このドラマのおかげで食べることや料理に消極的だったのが、「この料理、作りたい、食べたい」になって健康取り戻りました。
森さんのどのドラマの中でもこれが1番大好きです！

Kore-eda san, thank you so much for this exquisite and heart warming drama...it's so beautiful in every way and as a George Romero fan i couldn't believe my eyes! Ep 8 opens with the Day of the Dead opening homage and also shows the memorabilia in Momoko's living room from Dawn and the early Episode where they go to see Night..BRILLIANT!! ...in a wholesome, lovely show about friendship, food and honoring culture. amazing!! Please release a Blu-ray of the series with the wonderful English subtitles Thank you to the translator they were great and thanks to the whole amazing cast and crew and to NETFLIX JAPAN!

The show was fantastic, but I therefore find the extreme deference to this guy a little cringe. Old school sexism. How did he make a show all about women so well?
