Honestly $38 a person isn’t a bad deal! Having a birthday party at a regular restaurant or hall averages about $25-40 a person not including the price for decorations. So its really not far off in price. Such an amazing experience if your kids are really into American dolls! Also the chairs and plates for the dolls is so cute 🥹
As a mom, I think it is a pretty good deal. Your child can invite 4 friends. It cost $200. The kids have an awesome memory and you don't have to bake a cake, clean the house, etc. Even just getting a grocery store cake ans pizza for a group of kids is going to over $100.
I paid $200 at Dave N Busters for 10 kids, I got to pick 2 mains ( got hamburgers and chicken strips ) fries,, drinks and it came with cards to play the games.. The AG restaurant is not worth it.
I was soo excited for this episode. Maybe you can do a collab where your dolls get their hairs professionally styled by those professional doll collectors(?) and get new clothes for them.

I'm 44 Yrs old , my doll was a cabbage kid doll. I was at the Carnival on a Ferris wheel when my doll fell all the way from the top, by the time I got off the Ferris wheel it was gone, I cried so hard. My mom didn't allow me to really search for him and that's what really broke my heart. I was devastated, to this day 38 yrs later it's one of the few moments I remember from my childhood and actually think about every now and again. So I know how special dolls can be to a little kid.
OMG! I’m so glad you were able to find Kirsten and Kaya! I’ve always wanted the historical Rebecca, but I never asked for her because they are expensive, and I already had other dolls. I’m 21 now, and I still can’t help but want an American Girl doll.
I’m 25 and even tho i might be “too old for dolls” i still love them a compromise i made was buying the mini versions of the American girl dolls that i wanted cause it’s like getting the doll i always wanted but not spending the full price! I recommend buying the minis from Mercari or eBay cause it’s even cheaper for a new one
An entrée and a whole cake, served with a cute lil cup of ice cream seems like a REALLY good deal for $38, if you ask me. The aesthetics of this party are SO cute and fun for a little kid, or even an adult! You get some decent appetizers, a fun party activity with the cupcake decoration, _and_ everyone gets an entrée, some of which looked _really_ good, and on top of it all, you get cake and ice cream? Sounds like a good party for _me_ and I'm in my 30s, lol. And I'm so happy your mom found your dolls! And I think it's so sweet that your mom would make little outfits for them! A meet outfit is unique enough, but you have true, one-of-a-kind outfits for your dolls, that's so special. And they look like they're in _great_ condition for being so played-with, aside from the loose limbs, but that's just inevitable with a well-loved doll. You can get the limbs retightened at the doll hospital, or someone who knows how to do it, and just some TLC for their hair, and they'll look as good as new!
A friend and I did something similar but at a chocolate factory. Booked a "birthday party" only we brought in the food. Invited friends with kids. We got to decorate are own candy bars, had a tour and played games. It was great

I believe you can send old dolls in to American Girl and they'll fix them up as best as they can for you and for some I think they can even do their original hairstyle again!
Yeah! I got my Felicity doll from an older cousin, but one of her eyes didn't close properly. Eventually I sent her to the american girl doll hospital, and they fixed her up. And when they sent her back, she was in a cute little hospital gown. Which is a really nice touch imo.

Just buy one. Ebay has a ton. Some are pricey but others are not. I just bought the Barbie movie Barbie because I wanted it! Age doesn't matter!
You can also buy our generation if you think American girl is too pricey.
