    This is fantastic! I have tried this endgame so many times against the engine and I can never seem to win. This motivates me to try it again! ⚔️

      @Seldom Forever I think it was a draw if black put his king to a8 corner (because his pawn is advanced and knight is far away). But he played incorrectly which let white win.

    For anyone interested, Tablebase confirms it was always winning since the moment it got to two pawns vs two knights.
    It's so close tho, at 0:36 if it had been f4 and h4 or f5 and h3 it would be a draw. It's funny because even though it is technically winning since the beginning I think with best play from black it's actually a draw by the 50 move rule!

    Wow! That was simply amazing! I was so confused why he didn't take the pawn but he needed to have it on the board not to have a stalemate.

      @mohijitsingh6641 Před 2 lety +2

      Near the end of the checkmating sequence at 4:27 you can see that the king can't move, which would mean a stalemate, if and only if there wasn't any other piece there which Black could move. In this case, the keeping of the pawn on the board ensured there was a piece on the board, which Black is forced to move, thereby allowing the checkmate.

      @@yugaeimthicc6400 You need to leave 1 pawn or else way further into the endgame the black king will have no moves and the game will end with stalemate. By leaving the pawn, whenever the black king has no moves the black pawn can still move meaning that the game does not end in stalemate. That leaves enough times for the knights to maneuver and deliver checkmate.
