Insults are reflection of the one dishing them out, not an accurate description of those they are aimed at. We all know only our own truths.

@@jam2190 I know I was referring to the lyrics being insulting to some people. It's the songwriters perception of them and shows he is judging without knowing. Probably why his insults are flying, it always happens when someone cannot prove their own perception to be true.

This song does seem ignorant to the fact the very thing it's calling is exactly what it is doing. It's very biased and really that's a shame. I usually enjoy this man's work. You can't avoid the dark side of history by rewriting it. You can't blame one side for problems when the other side is just as guilty. This song should take it's own advice.

Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock rendition of the Star Spangled Banner that he turned into a Vietnam War protest, Irish Republican songs like Kinky Boots protesting British occupation, Rage Against the Machine's entire raison d'etre as a band is political, L'Internationale and the Red Flag are socialist anthems, heck even the 1812 Overture is celebrating Napoleon's defeat by Russia.
Music, like all art, has always been a way to put forwards viewpoints, and those viewpoints are often the artists political beliefs.
