  • The OstWall is one of the biggest and most amazing military constructions, Miles of underground tunnels, 100+ huge bunkers with 51t steel domes impervious to any direct fire of the time. The forts were constructed prior to 1938, when the entire area was located in Germany. Initially intended to protect Germany from a Polish invasion, it turned into the last bastion protecting Berlin from the Red Army advance in 1945. And most people have never heart of this enormous construction project or its remains. In this 5 episode show historian Tino Struckmann takes you through a small part of the OstWall with local historians. In this episode we go underground

This series you have produced on the Ostwall is sincerely one of the best things that I have seen in years! All I knew of it prior to your videos is that the Ostwall was fortified bunker positions. I had no concept of the true magnitude of the size and the engineering involved. Looking forward to the next part! Fantastic work!

Thank you and the curators for taking care of this piece of history. No graffiti like many of the places and well maintained.

The Oder-Warthe Bogen was just one part of the Ostwall. I have spent significant amount of time underground in the parts not open to tourist traffic in 2001. Superbly interesting.

Thankyou for walking through all those tunnels i have often wondered about the Ostwall and what happened to it as it was such a huge Engineering project to undertake and swallowed up so much manpower and in the end this Vaunted Defensive Deterrent was little able to stop the Red Army Steamroller Steamroller thankyou for a really interesting film ..one of your better ones! 😆😱

I had no idea the Germans built fortifications of that size on the Eastern Front. Makes the Maginot Line look like Amateur hour. Your bunker explores are truly spectacular!
