I had already listed my first item as FBM (been doing FBA for a month) so then went to manage inventory > selected my fbm item > change shipping template from drop down menu up top. I just shipped 5 items FBM and forgot to add my shipping template. Well, I made 5 customers very happy! The item weighed almost 5 lbs. Ouch! I was the only seller on the item so got a nice prime price, but ouch, the shipping template:.. well, not using one did hurt my profit. The plus is I’m 20 more FBM sales away from qualifying for merchant fulfilled for Q4 when it really is a huge bonus! Thanks for this video!

I don't know for a fact but the shipping rates you get from Amazon are about as good as it gets, unless your business does an extraordinary amount of shipping. You're not forced to buy Amazon shipping rates, you want, to take advantage, of the negotiated shipping rates Amazon offers.

The customer already paid for shipping. If it costs me more or less is irrelevant and not communicated to the customer. If it's more, I eat the cost. If it's less, I make a little extra.
You've never been allowed to use priority boxes to ship fba. Ever. That hasn't changed. The boxes you get for free that are specific to a certain shipping type "Flat rate / Priority / etc..." can ONLY be used for that specific shipping method. You can't use a flat rate box and then ship something thats not usps flat rate.
Alright! I have seen your full video, if I am not wrong you do retail arbitrage as FBM seller? Right? If so, arbitrage is already less Margin as items already retail price, after amazon fee the price difference u gain, all is eaten by shipping label, be it UPS or USPS, drop shipper or FBA seller always win here as fba less shipping cost & drop shipper no shipping (although direct from retail is illegal). The rate USPS or UPS shown website already expensive for arbitrage, their rate is good for if u are manufacturing. Now my question is when u list a products u already have competitors like FBA seller, FBM sellers etc and more speculator is drop shipper shipper, they even sell items with 5% margin, how u can compete them with such shipping expenses? With the above method you don't calculate any shipping. You just calculate the base costs/profits and then you try to make shipping charges = shipping payments via the template.

I did not actually go through all the steps here so I didn't pay 24. The large flat rate box will be roughly $17 so this was pretty much exactly what the customer paid. In the example I plugged in 12x12x12 box but that's not actually what this was.

It seems cheaper to ship eBay vs Amazon. Example one small item video game. Would cost me 2$-3$ eBay. Amazon doesn’t seem to be that cheap, it’s more like 5-8$ is there something I’m doing incorrectly
You mentioned that you can’t list things twice. That it’s a breach of service. If you have the same item and one is in new condition and one is “like new”. Is it okay to have two listings?
Yes you can do that. They are two different conditions. List it like new if the packaging gets damaged or dented and it wouldn't be able to be sold as "NEW", even though it is. I have not done this in grocery though.

I'd wait a week before doing much digging. Often this is just because they are being transferred between warehouses.

So, when you get an order are you notified or do you just have to check Seller central several times a day?

"return policy" is an illusion.
You basically need to be okay refunding almost anything. No policy is enforceable.
