- The call to fight for freedom is being answered, in a major way, by Ukrainian women. They are not conscripted to fight, or to risk their lives on the front lines - they are answering a call that comes from within themselves.

The rest of the World's feminists needs to learn from these soldiers. If all feminists acted like them people would actually respect the movement and we would have true equality. So much respect!
In ancient times Ukraine was matriarchal, women historically had a lot of responsibility but were respected members of society. When russia started their subjugation of Ukraine they gradually destroyed the social order established in its lands, giving more and more powers to men. Hopefully restoring its national identity Ukraine will be able to restore women's important role also

What is most amazing is that so called Eastern Europe and Baltics women and men subscribe to traditional roles, and are much more conservative in values than so called Westerners. Yet in EE & Baltics we have higher number of female CEOs, women are not screaching about patriarchy, families are young and people are divorcing less. EE and Baltic women are fierce (I am excluding ruzian women in ruzkia here, as they are generally are different kind of crazy and not in a good way), since before the early middle ages where rather independent and were supported by our men. The strength of our women was forged from 13-14 milenias ago, as we had to keep our tribes together - for example if our Baltic husband died in a battle, the woman usually remarried after a period of mourning for one month. This way men were raising children of other men for centuries and we never needed washhouses, like in England, for single mothers. And we also faught in battles, the ones who wanted to, and hunted along our men. This is why feminism is a strange concept is somewhat foreign for us since we basically never were opressed

These women show what all women of all ethnicities can do when they are called upon by their country.
