    Today we go to VCD Racing and check out the latest updates to his car. Since the last time we saw him, he is now pushing 450hp with his port inject kit. We go on a nice cruise and shows me the real power his civic has but just like fk8 he is fighting for grip especially at low speeds.

    What transmission did you get from ppg ? I know this is one of many weak points in this car ?

      Yeah sometimes was to high, sometimes to low. I tried adjusting best as I could through software (No mic probelms) . Thank you for the feedback

    Ever since the built engine and transmission have you ever had to rebuilt it again as in any issues? I want my 10th SI built someday. Probably not at 400. But reliability at maybe 330-350.

      Hi Shu, yes it had issues when he had stock motors 3x at 300-350whp, since he has done the Ososick Motor Engine kit he hasn’t had no issues with that motor (check out ososick website for that engine block) . The stock transmission is the weak point with 2nd or 3rd gear ripping off so that needs to be improved, also with anything more than 230whp clutch tends to fail to grip till it stops working for si tranny. Recommend retrofit CTR clutch.

      @@maganamfg I’m currently tsp stage 2 base map tune with prl flex fuel kit, prl cai (street), turbo inlet pipe, prl hvdp/front pipe with stock clutch. I haven’t had issues yet. Maybe cause I don’t bang on it much and usually drive on lowest boost. Yeah i’ll definitely upgrade the internals most likely take it to your shop in the future as I like the 10th gen SI a lot.

      @@shuvang if baby it and don’t floor it will be fine with stock clutch, especially with all those mods everyone I know slipping clutch. Glad you got a good one! 💪

    Seems like fbo with a tune and upgraded clutch is the sweet spot trying to keep it under 300whp im 50/50 on 27won w1 with low boost

      Yeah fbo, engine studs, head gasket maintenance, and clutch is the way.

      Yeah definitely can do fbo with a tune but hard to go more than 280whp without flex fuel e85, turbo, or supercharger

      yeah i seen it on n/a 9thgen before, its going to cost a lot but possible. intake/header/exhaust/ intake manifold / tune.

      yes it can, just need a longer hose as the fk8 length is short for the si

      I’m assuming to many of these have beat you? Lol jk yeah they definitely a fast car if built properly. Just don’t get excited as we struggle with grip from a red light lol

      I ended up getting a MK6 GTI FBO tuned bagged DSG and it’s so nice and so glad I went that route instead TBH but I still love the Honda game and always will!

    Of course that whine isn’t the turbo. Turbos don’t sound anything like that. I could see someone confusing it for a supercharger, but never a turbo.
    Also, spinning ain’t winning, gotta get that power to the ground my guy!

      Hey some ppl may get confuse so wanted to be clear for those more novice. Yes car wasn’t meant for drag racing but I bet if you slap some slicks it would have no trouble. 400+ typeRs also have this issue under 400hp. Fwd probelms 😭😭

      @@maganamfg haha yeah I guess everyone doesn’t search up turbo sound compilations when they first find CZcams like I did. But yeah, I understand FWD problems, though. I just bought a Golf GTI and I’ve heard you can’t really get past 350hp and still put it to the ground.
