Epic Meal Time, a CANADIAN show (as has been pointed out many times now), is for entertainment. They're not trying to make exquisite cuisines (although to be honest, I'd be willing to try some of the stuff they've made), they're trying to get a rise out of people, make you laugh at the absurd creations they've made. They are a parody of cooking shows and the health-concious culture rising in the US and other parts.
And yeah, Italian-American food IS different from Italian. Please stop making wild assumptions of an ENTIRE CONTINENT'S way of doing another country's food. There's really good, and really bad, Italian-American food out there, just as there is really good, and really bad, Italian food.
Most of you in these comments take yourselves WAY too seriously.
