- Yeah... I don't know, hahahaha. Definitely more of a chill, chatty video this week! I'm in the middle of a big house reno project so I needed to do something a bit more simple, hopefully you don't mind!! I wanted to take another crack at the "Reading Your Assumptions About Me" trend that was popular a couple years ago, while also recreating a good ol' Instagram filter, lol.
ANYWHO, I hope you get all cozy and enjoy!

Things that bring us serotonin: Rachel Maksy 💚
THIS ⬆️
Girl. Yessss.
She is a human rainbow 🌈
Legit she makes me so happy that I can’t watch her videos too late in the evening or I can’t sleep due to too much serotonin
Yesss!!
Girl everyone needs to mind their own business about when you and nick will have kids. I have a toddler and I promise I will never be that person that’s like “you’ll never be ready for kids”. Having kids is amazing but really freakin hard and if you want them, have them on your own time, or if you don’t want them then don’t have them! People are so judgy and nosey and I am over it.
I thought the same thing when she said that! I don't know how many time people said that to me & I am still glad I never listened! Parenting is a 27/7, full time job you need to feel prepared to take on.
Amen. It's your business, no one else's.
I really don't understand people's obsession about whether or not someone wants kids. Then again, I also just really don't care if someone wants kids or not. As in, honestly don't care either way - you do you...
In my case, I very very much want kids. But at 36 and 2+ years of trying... I'm starting to wonder if it's ever going to happen and that we waited to long.
@@CrownedLily you are so strong for keeping trying! I hope you have the means to get testing etc done and fully explore the biology side.
The only thing I can say is that there are no guarantees in life. But there are many ways to contribute to a child's life, does not matter if you birthed it.
Sounds easy I know... I will hope with you for your own little miracle ❤️
Q: You were a theatre kid
Rachel: no I was into sports I wish I was a theatre kid...
...
...Troy Bolton??
I love it.
lmao
Rachel is Troy, no question.
lolol we all have 3 am brain squirrels 🤣😂
Expect me to send you clips of when I finally watch this dvd 😂😂😂 MY BODY IS READY
I was popular in high school... after I left. Somebody started a rumor that I met a gruesome demise. I think I'm supposed to be haunting the halls to this day. I became an urban legend- put that on my tombstone when I actually bite the dust.
You should just show up to your old high school and scare all the children 🤣
You’ve been given an incredible gift which I envy
Whoa, not many people can enjoy their own ghost story while they're alive. What a fun halloween would it be to drive out there and just... "haunt" them?
“Died for real this time”
That is cool 😎
You should never have to apologize for what you feel is a “lackluster” video. Plenty of us come here for Rachel hangout time, regardless of what you’re doing, working on or talking about. I’ll always swing by for a chill sess 🤗
I actually prefer a "Rachel Hangout." I'm not a crafty person, don't sew, and am not truly a fashion historian, but I enjoy Rachel and find her fun!
Agreed! Love these 🤗
Heck yeah! Especially in lockdown where I've not been able to hang out with any friends in person. It kind of feels a bit like we're all skyping with Rachel!
Me too. I always watch her. She is genuine, fun, and funny also.
everyone saying "be humble" annoys me cause it keeps the wrong people small. i say be proud of yourself and let people know you're proud of yourself! you can do that without being annoying. it's called being self assured. :) why not let others know when you did something good? i think people just feel small when someone else achieved something and then tell that person to be humble just to make themselves feel better and i think that's not okay.
Yes! Everyone deserves to be celebrated when they do something great, including yourself.
I did something really cool in 6th grade and i was telling my friends about it (i think because i got into 6th grade honors band) and of of the girls called me a braggart and told me to be quiet 🙄
@@kittymowmow12 what an ass! she could have just said "nice!!" and moved on, like what's so hard with being happy for someone lol
@@angelikabatwoman she was jealous and wanted to feel better about herself by putting her friends (mostly me) down. We didn't stay friends for long once we got to 7th grade
I personally feel like a balance has got to be there though. Be proud of your accomplishments but also keep in mind there could be others that have done it better and you can always learn something new from them. To be humble is to stay teachable, to be a braggard is to think you’ve learned everything.
I’m so glad that she did get that farmhouse
I am a millennial who parents a Gen Zer(I'm 35, she's 17.) They give 0 Fs how YOU wear YOUR hair. They just like middle-parted hair on themselves. A middle-part actually looks gorgeous on my baby girl! It's not a "cool" vs "uncool" either, more about practicality, especially in re: pandemic. They wear baggy jeans for comfort (though dead-ass skinnies ARE comfortable.)
Tea for free from my 17 yr old: wear your hair however it flatters your face shape (or go for unflattering if that's your thing) as her hair is long, blond, and middle-parted, and my own is side-shaved, side-parted, and purple-to-pink-ombre that her friends all think it's cool. (OR so they say, maybe they compliment me for snacks.)
your mom is 17?
@@JoseRamos-hp2vg no, I am 35 and my daughter is 17.
Your hair does sound cool!! I’m 19, I’ve always preferred a side part (and it’s faded pink) and my older sister has always preferred a middle part, I don’t think it matters much but I like your comment. Also I like baggy jeans (and long skirts) and she likes skinny jeans. It’s fun to compare but it is silly that people (ie buzzfeed I guess) act like there are actual rules in fashion and style now that everyone is mostly wearing whatever they want (or at least I think they are? maybe I’m just focused more on media where that’s a thing??) anyway this is a long comment now but basically everyone is cool
I'm 2 years younger than your daughter lol. Baggy jeans are soooo comfortable and though I don't part my hair down the middle (often just off-center a bit) they look sick on others
@@oliveu535 Hell yea, and thank you! Last year I wore sweat pants all year. Pandemic, the fashion equalizer.
My brain went “diet of humble pie and imPASTA syndrome” 😆
I love that!!
That's what I thought Rachel said until she said souffle at the end 😅
Same, but I love Rachel even more for missing the obvious pun.
I was expecting that too!
okay but why did that "i've had a lot of birthdays where i felt like no one really cares" hit THAT hard?
Same my birthday is between Christmas and NYE
same, I'm from a lower income(?) religious family so less money for birthdays as well as having my birthday always fall on holy week so I rarely celebrate.
I hate my birthday just because of that
Happy late or early birthday to all of you depending on what time of year you see this⭐🌟✨
@@LudoLmao thank you
Trying to say this in a way that doesn’t make me sound like a dick or really patronising, but about not being able to relax and always needing to do something (for anyone reading this, not just Rachel) - I get it, I really, really do, but I used to be like that all the time and I basically burned myself out and am now an involuntary coach potato with pretty severe ME/CFS and it suuuuuuucks.
I’m not saying everyone who pushes themselves will end up housebound like me, obvs, but after 8 years of this absolute BS I feel a pressing need to tell everyone who gets stressed to take time for themselves and give themselves permission to veg. Because your health really IS the most important thing. Kthnxbye
Yeah I second this. I don’t have any chronic illnesses that I know of, but I basically destroyed my mental health and lost, like, three years to a series of horrible mental illnesses episodes during which I just physically couldn’t get out of bed most days. This was purely because of a period of just working myself into the ground for a couple years.
I was also very go, go, go. I never felt comfortable relaxing. Then my body said, oh, okay, watch this. I stroked out at 37 yrs of age. I was having bell's palsies for 10yrs before that. I just didn't listen to my body. Now I HAVE TO stay as "stress free" as possible. So please, anyone reading this, do NOT feel bad about taking time for yourself. It actually IS vital to your health.
I actually needed to be reminded of this today, so thank you. (all of you.)
Yesssss Hannah, this was my response to the "not being able to relax" also, because I relate to that feeling very strongly. I also burned out and got CFS/ME, for the past 3 years so debilitating I was unable to work and mostly housebound. (I'm currently healing through the Gupta Program, btw, and learning to be gentle with myself and love myself)
Just be careful, fellow people who push themselves constantly... Try guided meditations to calm everything down even for 10-20 mins a day, and give your brain a rest. ❤️
I pushed myself constantly too and now have an auto immune disease where I HAVE to rest frequently and can't go go go anymore. I was told constant stress/pushing yourself makes it more likely your predisposed-through-genetics negative health markers will emerge. Looks different for everybody but if you don't rest, your body will force you to one way or another eventually.
I wasn't looking at the screen and forgot momentarily that Nyx was a brand, and thought it was very cute you were using Nick's eyebrow make-up 😂
That he printed an edgy cover for hahaha
🤣
Happens to me every time.
I thought that too! 😅
Here I was knowing she meant that spelling but confusing it for the greek goddess of night..

Same...I put a moratorium on buying new sweaters...but I just finished crocheting one... >.>
And spending as much or more money on piles of fabric and notions...
Haha I’m that way with cooking!! I really want a pizza, to order one will require me to talk to people and go to town (which is 30 minutes one way to the closest pizza place) so... I just make one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Same with cookies, cake, bread, literally anything that you’re technically “not supposed to be eating” 😔
The whole time I was watching this, I was mending a big pile of sweaters... BUT... I have a *ridiculous* amount of sweater yarn & 1 UFO sweater in my knitting bag... 😂
I also have a *ridiculous* fabric stash & I've been eyeing it, planning a bunch of dresses, all the while lamenting that I have to clean out my closet... 🤣
I just got 12 pieces at an estate sale for $6 *sigh*

Screams in entomophobia
As a gen z kid, we don’t hate millennials, the feud is blown way out of proportion, and no, we don’t all eat tide pods. Some people did but that’s just called natural selection. Darwinism at its best baby!
I am millenial and I absolutely love Gen Z, you guys are the best 😀

Millennial here. When I was a teen a guy in my class ate dog flea tablets. So yeah, stupid has no generation.
Your videos could never be “lackluster”, Rachel! These sit down videos always feel like spending time with a friend, and I think that is so special and wonderful in hard times like now. I’m so happy that you are bringing more whimsy into your life because that’s what I feel you bring to my own each week. Thank you for that, it’s always exactly what I need 🧡
Yes.
Estate Agent: so why are you looking for a property with land?
Rachel: I like to do a lot of running around in capes
Its a bird, its a plane, no, its Rachel!!!
Still a superhero....
You might feel like this was a "lackluster" video but it was just so sweet and charming. It was like hanging out and chatting with a friend.
as a gen Z (according to half the generation cutoffs) I literally only care what gen x and boomers are doing because theyre always always always in the positions of power. millenials and gen z are literally like an older sibling/younger sibling duo. one pokes fun at the other, but they both agree theyre pretty chill compared to the other generations
trueeee but we also look what our older siblings do and kind of follow their lead xD
GenX is laying about binge watching Rachel Maksy on CZcams between feeding chickens and tending garden.
@@ayistromia word
this is gonna sound weird cause we don't know each other but i'm honestly glad that this week's video is a chill one, because anxiety and stuff. gotta try to take care of you
Seriously. I had a 'lackluster' week in my life this week due to life/work/anxiety/etc and had to remind myself that it was ok to not be in top form all the time. And I like the GRWM vibe of this video.
I was just thinking about my few, "once or twice a year coffee date," friends today. I miss them too, and really think that they're some of the best friends to have: you genuinely enjoy them, wish them well, yet since you don't see them all the time, they inject a bit of happiness a few times a year.
In my experience they're also the kinda friends you'd be closer with if your life was a bit diferent. But distance and lifestyle and hobbies and things like that add an extra degree of separation, so it stays at two coffee dates a year
re: taking off story replies, as a public figure, it's totally reasonable for you to do that, and you're not coming off as defensive! I think a lot of people out there don't understand boundaries with their favourite hosts/actors/personalities etc. You are of course very sweet but you are not a friend we know irl, and while it can be obvious to the public figure it isn't always for a fan. I think it's so nice that you allow messages on your instagram, but even if you didn't, it wouldn't make you not a people person, just a person with set boundaries of personal and work interactions.
“I’m an anxious potato” girl same
I'm getting such Anastasia vibes from the button top you're wearing

Yup exactly what I thought.
She has turned herself into the mother of dragons, next could be the dragon

i appreciate what u said about "gen z vs millennials!1!1" not being real. i'm 17 and i don't care if u have a side part 😔
literally the same here, also notice that only millennials seem to be very upset about this... like gen z DOES NOT care at all what jeans you wear.... skinnys are not out but there are other options now.
Millenial here. I did the middle part thing until high-school but I've always loathed skinny jeans. I just think it's funny that people care so much. It's not like any one has any choice in when they are born.
@@lainie193 Late Gen X here. I've always hated skinny jeans, too. I'm so glad there are finally other options that aren't obscenely expensive. I think a lot of people don't care until they're told they ought to.
tbh I'm just a gen z kid who still doesn't understand the thing about side parts and skinny jeans, I mean... is it really a big deal? I'm just an oblivious emo/alt teen who thrives off of miniskirts, skinny ripped jeans, band shirts, and brightly coloured hair with deep side parts, is it supposed to be bad?
@@worstusernameintheworld9871 I think people should wear what they want, and ignore anyone who doesn't like it. The idea that there are somehow fashion "rules" for different ages got left behind in the 1950s, and it needs to stay there. This is 2021, ffs. We ought to be more evolved than that, and I think most people are -- it's just stupid "articles" that tell us we shouldn't be.
I work at JoAnn’s and I decided that fabric is going to be “Hailey can have a little fabric, as a treat” instead of every damn day with a ton of not even started projects

This that bring us serotonin: Rachel Maksy 🦋
Absolutely. Each and every week.
”I want to have flowers & butterflies attached to my face at all times” I'm Soooo making this into a T-shirt 😄
Okay, I totally get what you mean when you say you being "just there" during high school. I describe it like being a piece of furniture in the room that people are indifferent towards, like you're not everybody's favorite desk, but you're not the busted ratchet rickety desk that nobody wanted to be stuck sitting in. Simply another piece of the scenery that some might notice if it were moved, but it wouldn't ruffle any feathers.
"treat yourself like you are your own main character of a Netflix mini series; the way your 13 year old self did on the bus with a walkman" *RELATABLE*
Oh girly, if you're looking for some Beatrix Potter related serotonin then I highly recommend The Tales of Beatrix Potter, the beautifully hand drawn children's animation created (I think) in the 80's. The intros to each episode is pretty much what got me interested in Victorian and Edwardian dress. They're beautiful little scenes of Beatrix out painting in the countryside and going back home to her beautiful Edwardian parlour to write the stories.
They're just so lovely.
Ah I had those as a kid! I adored them, they're so beautiful. When my youngest brother was born I was so excited to fish them out an watch them together! That and the 80's Anne of Green Gables/ Road to Avonlea mini series was all I watched as a kid😂
I loved that series so much! I've got the theme song on rotation at the moment
I request Rachel make a Victorian or Edwardian hedgehog outfit! ;)
Omg I completely forgot that was a thing and I LOVED those when I was little....
I was obsessed with the Tailor of Gloucester one...
Thank you for talking about the gen z millennial thing!!! I was born in 01 so I'm on the outer edge of gen z, but honestly we couldn't care less if you wear skinny jeans or have a side part. You're all crying over the crumbling job market, we're all crying over poor mental health and online school, can't we cry together??
1996 is the edge of gen z, you are smack dab gen z! Lol what job market? And student loans will kill you if you live in the usa.
@@violetverdict3760 No, Millenials go up to 1999 (hence why it's called "millennial"). Gen z starts at 2000. Not that it matters.
UK here, so yeah, job market, what job market? Student loans aren't an issue though for me. I have my degree now and it only takes out £2 from my paycheck each month, so not an issue. I'm kinda lucky I went into the right industry, so neither Brexit nor the pandemic has really affected me that much. But I know a LOT of people were are struggling right now.
I find it amusing how people need to dictate when is the right time for someone else to have children. I had my babies VERY young and I loved it. I was criticized and judged but I'd do it all again. It's friggin hard work and at the same time the most rewarding job. I think, if it's right for the person, have them whenever you feel is the right time. Really loved this video and you look GORGEOUS 💕 xx
I love these chatty videos it feels like having tea with an adorable friend. I also love your outlook on life and bravery in the face of criticism. ALSO screaming at small things is hilarious. I personally take it out on inanimate objects. Toaster that burnt my toast, table that stubbed my toe etc.
“When you’re thirteen listening to a Walkman on the bus”. Thats me right now at 18 senior year of highschool but with an iPhone and AirPods 🤣
That vibe but modernized
I used an MP3 player 😂
I wore a crossbody walkman with giant over the head headphones, I was very embaresed because there were modern walkmans with a plastic clip for your waistband and inear- headphones you couldn't see. My walkman was so painfully not hip. 35 years in 2021 I would have been sooo cool 😅
History story from someone born in the 80s: it was an unusual thing to be the 13yearold on the bus with a walkman and whatnot.. The technology was a pain in the butt and constantly malfunctioned, and you had to hold it perfectly upright (heaven help us if the bus hit a pothole) - and it was a pretty unusual and anti-social move at the time to put on headphones around other people. We were basically putting up a flag that said "I'm an alienated weirdo/punk/wallflower" (other option being carrying a boombox, which said "I'm extroverted to my core. I AM the party, and the party is EVERYWHERE!" hehe.) Now, you're a creep-o goon if you look up and around on the bus and try to talk to ppl. That's some suspicious behavior.
(Now that's not to say you that this same 13 year old wouldn't be listening to her iPhone now - just that it was pretty different back in ye olde yestertimes, at least where I lived.)
@@brooke9297 90s here. Similar experience. Wearing headphones would get you some strange looks (mostly from older folk), and they were pretty garbage so you'd need the music on quiet for other folk not to hear you.
Earbuds were the fashion, but they always fell out and got stood on and the wires were all stupidly long and they'd get tangled in stuff. (I still hate them). Over head ones were better, but if you wore them everybody, young and old alike would give you odd looks. Nowadays no one cares.
Most people didn't have smartphones or phones. People had MP3 players that could house probably ten songs. Granted, still plenty of folk who didn't have headphones at all and you'd hear complaints from people about "that guy" on the bus who had his music on full. No one had internet, so they weren't watching youtube or anything. I remember a verison of the mps player that didn't have a headphone jack and people ridiculed it at the time becayuse bluetooth devices back then were expensive and they were shite.
I remember when bluetooth became a thing, at first it was awful, really unreliable, would constantly disconnect or refuse to connect at all. Plus, at first it felt kind of gimicky, and kind of useless. Who when the first bluetooth headphones came out they were expensive garbage.
@@Stettafire Hah yes! I remember I briefly had a pair of magnetic ear buds that were theoretically magnetized to keep them from getting tangled or something and to clip them to their case, but I learned quickly that all they did was attract paper clips and get stuck to my binder rings. Oooooh how far technology has come.
Remember how they tried to make boomers hate millennials? I do and I hated it. So I am going to adore the crap out of zoomers. I hope I can make things easier for them.
That's a nice outlook!
That is so sweet of you. You know I hate when people hate an entire generation because of a few bad people.

I friggin adore Gen Z. Probably because we (millennials) have more in common with them than either of us do with boomers. But why does everyone forget Gen X?

I think it's important to not let there be a like mean generational division between gen z and millennials. Like we gotta work together to fix the world and thats so much harder if we're bickering about the way we part our hair
Agreed! It's amazing how after being off social media for six months I had no idea this division had been created by media until this week.
And I just feel...
Who cares what emojis people use or how they part their hair? It's just problems made up, entirely fiction, to make division, drama, and headlines.

Oh gal...the “when you gonna have kids” convo will never go away. It’s so inappropriate and people think your sex life is their business and it’s friggen weird. We Childless married women never stop getting harassed about it
Or else, the comments are wicked condescending. It used to really make me mad, but I no longer care.
My response was always a) revulsion b) I already have a dog c) A baby would just take time away from my dog d) gross e) what if it was allergic to my dog and I had to give the baby away? People are really against that.
People just stopped asking.
As a happy stay-at-home mom, NOBODY should ask when you want kids. Especially randos on the internet. It can be a really painful question for people that want kids, have been trying, and still can't have them.
And it is absolutely valid to not want them at all or "someday, but not yet!" And it's no one's business what category anyone else falls in. I wish people would stop.
It doesn’t stop even when/if you do have kids. As a married woman who had one child for 5 years, I was constantly harassed about when we’d give him a sibling. Now we’re asked when we’re going to try for a girl (because apparently it’s not possible to be happy with two children of the same sex). Stupidity in its finest.

As someone who's smack dab in the middle of the two generations (zillennial I think is the term), I literally don't care what others wear or how they style their hair as long as they're comfortable and it makes them happy. I'm a millennial in a lot of the experiences and things I've lived through but my humour is very gen Z. However, I'm noticing that I'm starting to lose my grip on what are the current meme trends and it's making me feel old, but also at the same time I'm like, "look at them youngin's go with them memes and things, how wonderful!" idk I just love the people who are younger than me and I'm really excited to see what they accomplish.
I'm a zillennial too (born in 96)!! and I definitely feel the same way - I truly just want ppl to be comfortable and happy. and I think I've been able to keep up with the current memes and trends bc I'm on TikTok lmaooo it keeps me ✨young✨
As a ‘98 myself, I recently had this, especially with games/gaming humour and vintage aesthetics. Getting into vintage again has honestly just made it so much more apparent, especially when I come across those younger than me who either assume I am an “old ass millennial” (actual thing said to me) that are the typical childhood know-it-all or have legit more knowledge and in-hand experience. I would never have thought I would be intimidated by a child's knowledge of vintage & antiques, but here I am. Though I will admit, as much as I dislike kids, I love watching them discover new shit, make more crusty-busted ass memes, and the openness & dark humour that's come with mental health talks.

I used to cook on traditionally rigged sailing ships (like Master and Commander), and I would always make whatever birthday dessert that person wanted. They didn't get to choose any of their other meals, so it was an extra special treat. People always got really excited for their birthday treats, and it became a thing I did as much for me as for them. Baking for other people is magical.
The other day I found myself singing, “good enough...” while doing my makeup
Take it from a Gen-Z: we don't care what you do, and honestly my most used emoji is the crying laughing face too so...
Also, how do you deal with your fear of mascots at conventions and events, cause I've always loved the idea of dressing up, but being in a space with a lot of people in masks isn't a pleasant idea. (I honestly haven't been to a proper Halloween party for years, mainly for that reason)
The Beatrix Potter ballet is a weird throwback. I remember watching it at some point as a kid. It's crazy how something you thought was obscure and something most of the world just forgot about can crop up again.
Beautiful look, and a big thank you for all your amazing content!
The cloaks hanging on the clock thing in the background is exactly what I see in my room at 3 am and question for 20 min before reality comes back to me.
Rachel: Insects should be a normal facial accessory for everyone
Me: lol is that oogie boogie?
The description of the hug genuinely made me tear up... Man I miss huggin' friends. I hope everyone is staying safe out there, lots of love xx
On behalf of most of genz we dont care lol we have way more important things to worrie about then jeans not to mention i know plenty of genz who use😂 so i know this may seem impossible buuuutt i dont care what people wear! Wear what you want!
Kinda think a boomer just wanted to start shit?
@@charlieaddams5331 tbh boomers aren’t writing those articles def not it’s either gen x or millennials
Yes! I literally use the laughing cry face emoji all the time and I'm a gen z. I don't wear baggy pants either, I think it's just up to personal preference. I genuinely dont care what other people wear, it's up to them.
@@seemsfishy23 sounden a lil sus my guy you a bommer? OR genx.... It all makes sense if its them...
Your Friday uploads give me serotonin lol
Edit: This and Wandavision 🤷🏽♀️😁
#truth
Omg totally
Had a major main character moment yesterday where I climbed around in the woods listening to music. Processing my feelings. Falling in the mud. All that dramatic stuff.
The Tales of Beatrix Potter is my favourite ballet!!! I'm so happy someone else knows of it and enjoys it!
Fridays are the best days! Rachel videos and Wandavision in the same day
"Its one of those days" is terribly relatable rn. Take care of yourself ♡ we all love your content but love you being comfortable more! ♡
I would totally watch a video where you clean out your closet and show what you're going to put on posh mark or depop or something. The guilt from buying new things is so real and the stress from clutter too. Sending you lots of good vibes on that front...you got this!
Re: zoos. And that's why I prefer safari/wildlife parks over zoos! They're so much better for the animals. There's one close to me in the Scottish Highlands and the amount of space the animals have always makes me so happy. And the scenery of being surrounded by hills and mountains and lakes definitely adds to the atmosphere.
FYI those are still technically zoos. As are sanctuaries. It is an umbrella term for any facility where animals are kept in human care and able to be seen by the public for educational or recreational purposes.
I've always wanted to go to a wildlife park. The nearest one is about a 6 hour drive away though so it's not really feasible at the moment.
Laughed like a little little child at the *blush fart*. No regrets.
Mascots terrify me. I was once in the position where I had to get onto an elevator with one, just me and him. He’s silently gestured me on before him. It was the longest most uncomfortable ride of my life.
Me, too. Any time I see one, I give them a wide berth. It goes beyond uncomfortable to near panic attack.
The one that terrifies me the most is the Burger King with the huge plastic head! The stuff nightmares are made of!!
Mascot is another word for Pet in my mother language and for a second there I was wondering how one gets a phobia to dogs and cats.
Rachel please dont ever stop doing blooper reels 💖 I love watching all your videos but the end bloopers are just icing on the cake *chefs kiss*
💯
Yes!! That ballet gives me life! Love that we share some silly connections like that.
I have totally been romanticizing my life since before I can remember. Sometimes it works by making daily life more interesting...sometimes it doesn't, but I've found it can be a good tactic for us with radioactive imaginations, a well-worn pair of earbuds, and a need to escape from reality.
So what I'm hearing from this Avenger dream is that you subconsciously want to make the costume you would wear if you were an Avenger?
Underrated comment idea
Wow, a year till new house was pretty spot on!
I dont know why I love butterflies as accessories but I do so this was right up my alley!
When I was young we used to have butterfly chair clips that were on springs so they'd wave around as you walked. As a kid I used to think they were so pretty but I couldn't wear them because my hair was too wild.
I too like to surround myself with people who like to talk so I don’t have to! I feel ya. 🙋♀️
I love you Rachel ❤️ you’ve inspired me to revamp my closet in a way that makes me happier. I also just got a sewing machine so I’ve been trying to learn
Aww, good for you for taking that leap! I've been sewing for - 26 years? - and my advice is to clean and oil your machine regularly, use a thimble, and don't be afraid to use the pretty stuff! Happy sewing!
Congrats! 🎉 you got this!
the temper thing is very relatable to me. i am so easily inconvenienced/frustrated. i feel like people see me as someone who's pretty laidback, and i do try to take things in stride, but inside i can be like aaaarrrrrrrrrggghhhh.
Honestly, I could listen to you talk all day so PLEASE don’t feel bad about a chill video!
"I look stupid" - me "wow, this looks so gorgeous". You should make some butterfly hairclips, this would look great in your red, curly hair!
“One can never have enough socks," said Dumbledore. "Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books.”
- Albus Dumbledore, 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone'
Yeah her comment did remind me of that too.

I have a kid. And, waiting until you are ready on your own terms IS THE BEST PLAN EVER! It's really rude for other people to demand kids, a timetable, or both. Kids are amazing, but they are exhausting, time-consuming and expensive, so no one should be pushed into having them. You and Nick do what works for the two of you.
I totally relate on buying new stuff, where I'm trying to reduce and reduce waste + excess shopping. There are two shops I know about for crafting supplies (art, fabric, decor, etc.), whether you're looking to buy or donate your gently used supplies/scraps, Make + Mend and Thistle Creative Reuse. The former I've shopped from and highly recommend, Emily works so hard and gives the best customer service. There's a whole community out there trying to reduce waste and keeping up what you love doing, they promote each other a lot, and honestly have been making my Instagram feed a delight.
You’re wearing the most comfiest looking top ever. Also, that with the skirt is giving off some Anastasia (‘97), that Anya/ “Journey to the Past” outfit, vibes. It might be just me but that’s what I thought immediately.
Rachel getting emotional over how closely related to chimps we are is so relatable
yes!!! i absolutely love cooking and baking treats for people for their special day or because i want to show how much i care.
I love the sewing videos but I love the cozy chatty videos so much! So cozy like I can have a cup of tea and chat just catch up with Rachel
The phone VR headsets are notorious for making people feel sick. Actual VR headsets do that a lot less.
Wow, that would hell! I used to work at an archive and could make myself sick using the microfilm machine! 🤢
You give me the “Hufflepuff with a lot of Slytherin friends” vibes and I am here for it.
I know the EXACT feeling of the heart warming “umph” with the need for hugging special friends.❤️🦄
The most real and relatable thing i have seen all month is that stray thread thats stuck in her hair haha love it
Hard same! I'm moving house and in the middle of a HUGE re-furnishing project. Trying to come up with Cool Clever Video Ideas while your brain is entirely consumed with fixing your house, I have discovered, is hard af, and I am so here for the chill vibes of this vid. That makeup turned out AMAZINGLY! :)
My lilac rag doll kitty’s name is Whimsy.
That’s adorable.
Wow that Beatrix Potter ballet is such a throwback. I’ve never heard anyone talk about it before! As a young kid, it really freaked me out, especially the squirrel and the owl 😂😱
Tip for freckles: get one of those pokey sponge things you get in those cheap halloween makeup kits and use brown eyeshadow or something.
