  • 12 years since riding 4500km through the Himalayas with with his late father, Adam Riemann returns to Nepal to continue the journey solo on Royal Enfield's Himalayan 450. What was meant to be a back-packing trip as father and son, turned into a 4500km motorcycle expedition from Delhi to Leh, to Kashmir, to Kishtwar looping back to Rohtang pass and onward to Nepal
With a new route planned from Kathmandu to Manang, then around to the upper Mustang, Adam sets out to take on the Himalayas alone, retracing parts of the ride with his dad during their 3-week mission across India and Nepal.

Toured near these areas in the 70s with my mother and brother. The leaf spring in our jeep cracked. Stranding us for a while. Don't remember how we got it fixed but many others helped out.
Family is originally from Kashmir. But that is 1600-1800 years ago. Went to Goa until the Portuguese came 400 years ago. We then moved down south. But our stories still point north.
In the mid 80s on a south Indian beach absent of any tourist I met a man in a leather jacket, Levi jeans and boots on a BMW bike. A curious sight.
He had traveled from the south east of The Netherlands to the south west of India through the middle east.
It startled him when I spoke to him in Dutch. He took a step back, confused.
Adam is now riding the path that few riders have before. He is stepping it up. Meeting the land, the people and himself.
And, now again he is taking all of us with him!

Until I grew older, better understood the challenges of life and was able to see he was a man with his own history and I could come to peace with the situation and our relationship and love him for what he was. He passed when I was early twenty, wish I could have had such an epic journey with him. Bless you both you have had that together. 🙏

Yesterday was saga dawa duchen, a special day, when this video came off. This was the first thing i've seen in the morning with my coffee. Inspired and touched me so much, that i didn't go to work, instead of that I did a short trip with my old super10ere, to a local stupa, and have a bath in thermal...We have some parallels in life, i've been in Nepal, 12 years before, with a group (no bikes then) my father had serious sickness that time, and passed away after a few years, now i have two children also, and my father didn't even know them.
I have seen the classic R.Enfields there the first time, and decided to go back one day with a bike like that, to reach Pokhara...

Just want to say love your videos. I have learned alot from them. 1.5 years ago my father also passed of mesothelioma. I didn't have anyway to get there, all options ran out. In Kansas I took my 1990 xt350 and road to philadelphia Mississippi. 750 miles to my father's funeral. 2 months experience on a bike at the age of 50. Road this bike home 500 more miles and uhaul it back home. My father wanted to ride but he didn't get too. So I am a year and a half and 11,000 miles later. This just reminded me about my father and how I wish that now I am riding that he could be here riding with me. I guess in a way he is. Thanks dad! And thank you for such great videos. I have probably watched them all more than once and reference them when I need. I ride a 2023 tt900rp.

Wow is all I can say, morning, I have been following you for a long time my friend, but this ride here is one I’ve always wished I could do no question, what a place, and yes very raw and in real time to say the least, although I’ve never been to that part of the world just a small part exist back here in the states, Indian people I know and serve in my business, just incredibly great people, people I communicate with about there homeland, but what a place your riding through, a land of enchantment to say the least, incredible terrain, and in spirit your dad is with you and watching over your shoulders. There was once a time where me and my dad just the two of us toured the west, every time me and my buddy travel extensively on our bikes I smile because no in spirit he’s with me, we traveled so many miles, so many roads, I was ever so grateful to have shared so much with this man, just passing away a few days after his 100 th. He is part of what I still do, like you wouldn’t have traded that time for absolutely nothing. Stay safe out there and cannot wait for next video. Rob U.S.

Amazing Adam. You are a true legeng. Not just by the moto skill, but with the skill that you have to bring the emotions to the skin on people, with your videos. Proper inspiration!

Well, there's a few more 450 Himalayans out the door - always a great ambassador of bikes. Great trip, thanks for sharing.

Thank you Adam to give us all these emotions and sensations.
I can’t imagine that you felt when you rode on these mountains 10 years after the disappearance of your dad. ❤

I lost my Dad when I was 8 years old, he was 30 [I'm 63 now], just yesterday We got back from an 8 day moto camping trip and was wondering, what if Dad was with me, then I see this video this morning. Thank you Adam and brother you are not alone, our fathers live in our hearts and minds for ever.

I come to Adam’s videos for the riding and leave every time with a beautiful spiritual human connection. Movie experiences as masterful as his riding talent.
