  • Do you know the difference between Retinoids, Retinoic Acids, and Retinols? đŸ‘©đŸ»â€đŸ«
First off, many people use retinoids and retinols to help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and to help increase the production of collagen.
There are topical retinoids and oral retinoids.
Under the topical retinoids, we have prescription strength retinoids, which are retinoic acids, and then retinols which are over the counter.
The three types of prescription retinoids are tretinoin, adapalene, and tazarotene which is the strongest retinoid.
And then of course you have your over-the-counter retinols.
If you are asking yourself, “Which one is going to be best for me?” Please make sure to talk to your dermatologist to determine the right one for you since all retinoids do have the potential to be irritating.
Still have questions? Leave them for me in the comments!
