Coach Tim Cone proved so many things:
1. Hindi totoong bawal matalo ang Gilas. Why? Pinoys have high faith on the players. Its only a matter of how u motivate them and surely they will perform with their hearts.
2. Tactics... hmmm??? di ba malinwanag nman na ang coach na merong tactics is a coach that learns each and every game that they play and can make quick adjustments in a very short period of time. Nakita nman natin na iba ang laro ng Gilas depende sa makakalaban nla. Last minute nagdecide c Coach Tim na magpractice to make a big adjustments in order to get a different result coming in to the championship game against Jordan.
3. Coach Tim proved that we had a wrong coach during WC. Sa dami ng drama at dahilan of the previous coach considering he has the strongest ever built NT in the history of Philippine basketball, what we Filipinos got was frustrations and heartbreaks. Pampalubag nlang ung panalo against China. Mas Pilipino pa yata c Coach Tim Cone kesa dun sa isa. Because sabi nga nya sa interview, he knows how precious it is for his countrymen back home to win this gold. Wala syang ginawang dahilan or drama on losing to Jordan sa prelims but instead he made big adjustments before going into the finals na sabi nga nya is, "they need to do something special going against Jordan sa finals kung gusto nla ng ibang resulta". That is very admirable for a coach that wants his team to win the gold.
Tim is not afraid to make decisions. He is not afraid to make mistakes. He is very composed during a crisis scenario.
As a kid, I remember Coach Tim and Alaska gave me a lot of heartbreaks. di ako Team Alaska dati but damn they were so good. My heartbreaks were all gone. Thank you coach Tim. kung di pinupulitika and basketball, baka mas madami pang medalya ang Pilipinas with him as a coach. Thank you to Jordan Clarkson for initiating a fire that made all these changes too.
Same.. Hehe. Lage nya tinatalo ang Ginebra/Gordon gin before. Then nun ng san mig sya grandslam ulit. Then nun napunta na sya sa Ginebra mismo, then sunod sunod na championship. Meaning something special talaga si coach Tim 😅😅
Tim cone tahimik at very prim and proper walang maraming nega at tocic intervirws. High rnd professional s yrabaho niya. nerican pero hondi mayabang . Brilliant coach and tactician. Magaking magbigay confidence and motivation sa mga players.

I started to love basketball at the age of 3 (1960) and followed the Philippine team in any international competitions. I had been fascinated by the likes of Caloy Loyzaga, Carlos Badion, Laura Mumar, Sr, Kurt Bachman, Narciso Bernardo, etc, to name a few, who helped the Philippines stamp their supremacy in Asia, and became renown even in the world from the 50s to 1962. We regained the glory in the whole Asia only this year.

Si Coach Tim, di kailangan ng mga political supporters ng isang camp, magarbong damit (even though dati nung Centennial Team suot niya ay sleeves and tie na simple naman din), at "learning experience" na tagline. May in-game adjustments at alam kung ano gagawin for defense. Kudos to him and the players (esp. JB32).

Coach Tim Cone has all the passion and drive to win. I admire a coach na frustrated and ipakita ang galit sa mga turn over, lapses and yung palamya lamya. Mas naapreciate nang mga fan yung ganun na mentality. Kita ko din yung tactical adjustments late game. Pati si LA Tenorio was giving tips during the game. Triangle offense worked effectively in this tourney coz we have Brownlee who is a perfect fit to this system. however china’s system of play changed dramatically a display of excellent ball movement with a core of young players and a new coach. clearly as you can see china executed the play according to the system run by their european coach. if this sytem continues chinas basketball will potentially be the biggest threat in asia.
