i don't think the AI would be a reliable rival. They are inhuman at long range engagents while being retarded at short range or when moving. At least in personal experience.
I think it'd be good if you started to put your own blueprints in the appropriate folders to get them to spawn in the scenarios. If you need to know where to drop them I think I can point you in the right direction. At least when I was doing that, it seems like you can make the spawn "pool" as large as you like and the game will randomly select from it; and with how many tanks you're building, you could have some huge variety. You could also then go out of your way to build tanks (for every period) that fill all different niches to maximise the variety and potentially have a counter to everything
I think it’s fine for the time lapse to take longer than usual, gives us a feel of how much effort you put into these tanks!... as long as it isn’t too awkward so you don’t know what to talk about lol

For mbt designs i think doing hull Abrams style is best lower plate covers everything and upper is almost flat also you can use fuel tanks as Era or even make more realistic looking ones by putting plates on top of it i think this way it can also be layered and stacked

It's meant to look like either a radio box with wiring looms, or air conditioning, something of the sorts. Machinery not originally planned into the design that was deemed necessary

I'm not sure what's better, the tank he made or the turret of the enemy being blown off and landing back in it's hull right side up.
One thing you could have done with comparing this with the chieftain lookalike is try a custom battle AS the chieftain, fighting AGAINST this tank.

Not only this tank has an oscillating turret but it can climb in to a tree and climb down to quicly deliver formidable firepower on the battlefield.
All the extra space on the 207 is actually a realistic thing because thats also space needed for upgrades and ease of maintenance

They can have a more powerful vertical drive and can allow for better gun handling than a traditional turret

I still don't understand how you can use a turret as a horizontal traverse.
In the experimental you can place turrets on turrets. If you do this and then rotate the top turret 90 degrees, it rotates vertically to the hull.
