This guy is an amazing performer and it's a shame that he's completely under-used in Anastasia. Bland story, bland leads and then Ramin who's been given barely anything to work with

I really miss him as Phantom--the role was PERFECT for him. Much better than his role Anastasia. And POTO is a much better musical

Yeah literally every role he's had since Enjolras has been better than his role in Anastasia. There really are no true dramatic leads with arcs in that musical except for Anastasia herself

I'm hoping he was brought in because of his talent and presence and lends authenticity to the show. I also think this keeps him in the New York Scene and will lead to better roles. I think he's had so many demanding roles --- Phantom is hard on a guy, that he may appreciate this one as a break of sorts. Also, I'm sure the pay is great.

Just finished watching the show on Broadway and couldn't agree with you more. I first saw Ramin in Les Mis two years ago, and it led me to watch him in POTO on DVD. He played both Phantom and Valjean beautifully. However, I was a little disappointed after watching Anastasia. Ramin was still great, belting out his songs effortlessly. But the songs were not memorable and his time on stage was very limited. Hopefully he will get another role that will fully utilize his talent soon.
