  • We were lucky to be invited to check out. What an amazing piece of history this was.
    Remember this is just a highlights video from a live stream investigation on a phone. This is not polished and is more about showcasing to you places of interest you can stay in, the history and any curious happenings on the night. Is it all paranormal... who knows, we will let you decide :)

    Colin’s voice reminds me of how my Pop sounded. The way he speaks, the vocal nuances and the extensive historical knowledge 🥰 great video!

      So pleased you enjoyed J. Colin was so lovely, and with 47 years of volunteering at the museum, very dedicated too. It was great he brought back some memories of your own Pop :)

      It was curious. I found it interesting how Kag sounded surprised "Oh, hello love" and then a stern "Leave it" came through. As if somebody had stepped in and reprimanded lol.

      You could spend hours there just reading on all the items. Sadly, our wonderful and very passionate host, Colin, passed away not long ago. I am so pleased we got to meet him.

    Hi guys yet another interesting location South Australia has so much wonderful history. I will definitely visit this place if I am ever passing though the area. I agree with Allison that there does seem to be a residual energy sometimes or as I like to call them snippets of recurring time such as footsteps down hallways. I have experienced this several times before when I was a house cleaner in a 1930s house all by myself. Please keep the wonderful videos coming they really do make my day thanks guys.👍👻👻👻

      I am so pleased you are enjoying them :) Yes, I think with this place, most of it was just residual, although the ball on the rum and the Estes was interesting at the end. Could have been something wandering through lol

      Oh you must come and visit your family. Moonta is an amazing place and Wallaroo is only 10 minutes down the road. So much history in these places. Hopefully we have put COVID behind us now!

    shame they do not have the letter from Charles' brother, it could have been translated and read to him now.
    seems to me it was a cover up of a botched execution!!

    • @haunted-horizons
      @haunted-horizons  Před rokem

      It is a shame indeed, as I think we would all love to know what was in that letter. It was probably handed over to his wife, who survived her illness. There was no covering up that botch job, as the media were there that day and it was reported widely. Funnily enough, that was the last time the media were allowed into an execution.

    • @dragonlord0666
      @dragonlord0666 Před rokem +1

      they certainly tried to cover it up with the 'his neck was broken and felt nothing' going by the rest of the report that was not really the case and he certainly did not die instantly like he should have.

      @haunted-horizons  Před rokem

      @@dragonlord0666 I am not sure which report you are referring to? All my reports state the executioner was intoxicated and forgot to pinion the legs. I have been telling his story on my history tours there for years. It was why I was excited to (if that is the right word) see a reference to him in the museum. At the Gaol it is well known that his was an execution that went wrong. It is also why I am so intrigued to know what his brother said, as it is so sad. Charles was blind drunk when he committed the murder. He had lost children to disease and was convinced his wife and remaining children were going to die also, so definitely not in his right mind at the time. Despite what he had done, he didn't deserve the botch-up that happened. 😒 There is another that has a big question mark on it, I wonder if it is this one that you are referring to?
