Dan your disappointing pots are better than my best. Oh! The ups and downs of gardening. All the best from Canada.

Six and a half pound is no disgrace, Dan. But your knees on the edge of that board, made me cringe.
    Thanks for sharing, mate.

6lbs or so Dan - not to be sniffed at and so easy in pots!

Still pretty good for a container that size. I would be well pleased!

i still have mine in the ground, i was going to dig them up but i think i will leave them for as long as i can now, but i would be well chuffed with that yield!

I pulled a pot last night, Disappointed again! 4.5 lb last time and just over 3.75 lb this time, ok the spuds were bigger but not by much. This is pointing to the free of green waste compost and it appears to be lacking in nutrients too, me thinks.

How many seed potatoes did you have in your pot? and is that a 30L pot? Cheers!

My Sarpo Miras though large are very scabbie this year what do you reckon?

      David Holling mine are too!
Grew some of my normal Cara next to them & they're far superior to the sarpo.
Not growing them next year that's for sure ☹️

Scabbie normally means too dry I believe.

Digwell Greenfingers it wasn't every pot that was scabby, plus I live in lancs where nothing is dry for too long 🤣

Down in South Glos here but even when it rains only a fraction of it goes into the pots. My neighbours asked me why I was watering the 30L pots as it had just rained - told them it's hard to get the water to the spuds through all the leaves.

I see you always seem to be wearing shades. Do you have sensitive eyes?
