There were some mistakes that if he hadn't done, he would've definitely made it a world record

fastest time I completed this game was just under an hour this video could give me a few pointers.

Mega Man 2 unknowingly kicked off the tradition of "the final boss is only vulnerable to the most useless weapon".
Boy, there were so many legendary moments. He bullied all the bosses and die wily machine fights were funny to watch. after all these years and thousands of speedrun videos it's still amazing to see new ways to humiliate the bosses 😂😂😂
Mega Man 3 is so awesome, the cartridge can barely contain it.

Love Mega Man 3, the second game I ever played on my NES growing up(first being Super Mario Bros, of course), it's perhaps my favorite Mega Man game.
the best Rush is Rush Search. Nothing like seeing him dig up 4 Cans for PJ during his speed run.
Played it so much as a kid and I have some very fond as well as bitter memories for some of those levels and their bullshit!

Sure, the super jump it gave you was also fun. So was taking damage while inside a hole; if you didn't know, your entire life bar vanishes and you gain infinite health (to my knowledge). Spikes still kill and it only works in a few levels, still fun to do.
I also liked the slow-mo and time stop cheats. Time stop on the large bouncing robots while they bounce and they can never stop. Or while you're standing still and you need to slide or jump to be able to begin moving at all, to my recollection.

As one of the couch commentators and someone who personally knows the 20XX dev, I feel a little bit bad that I missed it. You have to understand though, we are paying attention to a LOT of details while the run is going on. Ammo, health, upcoming strats, upcoming variations of the strats that he may attempt, and how to convey all of that without distracting the runner. It is really unfortunate, but after doing 37 runs for GDQs over the years, and commentated for several dozens others, I've used the donation reading time as a bit of a mental break to refocus.
I loved this game as a kid but it had so much lag on the original NES, kind of ruined it a bit for me. But DAMN only what 8 seconds off WR playing at an event in front of an audience? Well done

YD doesn't have a hitbox until it's complete; only the pieces do.
As far as I remember, if you keep jumping while riding the rush jet you wouldn't consume it's energy, right ? Are they aware of that ?
