Scene from Departures Season 1 Episode 6 in Japan
Scott is attempting to purchase subway tickets from a machine but has some trouble. Thankfully the customer service is built right into the machine!
That's the most awesome job i've ever seen.... DECIDED, I'M MOVING TO JAPAN JUST TO GET THIS JOB
At least you get face-to-face assistance with a smile unlike most of the emotionless assistance you get over the phone or through a speaker.
So fake. He is not even wearing pikachu costume
You made my day LOL!!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLZ
***** And where are the 10 year old girls at!?
Best comment ever!! LOL
***** Thanks for ruining everything with a nasty comment :)
now, just imagine if the guy inside of the machine is making all the transactions and tickets delivery by himself
This reminds me of when I was a little kid thinking there were people inside of the ATM's... now I know all of my suspicions were true... 0.o
As you see in the video, it takes sometime for him to come to the machine and open up, he probably does other work but goes to the machine as soon as someone presses the assistant button.
What a fast customer service!!
Nice!
So... there is no "Automatic Ticketing Machine" some skinny japanese guy operate from behind :D
+IndraEMC It's automatic. The man works in the service department, which has it's offices right behind the major row of ticket vending machines. And when somebody presses the "help" button, he is informed and comes out of the automat ;)
after reading the comments... he is NOT in the machine but in a little room behind it! And he works there - changing machine's paperrolls, refilling ink, puts more change in it, helps people if they need - because thousands of people use these automats every day. It's easier like this so they don't have to stand in front of the machine and stand in everybodys way.
Sodamachines are also loaded from the back in japan. It's quick, easy and nobody is in anybodys way, we can
learn about politeness and customerservice from them!
This is call service, Japanese service is always impressive.
This is the best service I've ever seen O.O. There should be something like this for waiters. They should come out of bread.
he is inside the machine, except that he isn't, if you look closely you can see a door behind the machine on the right side, meaning there is in another room were the guy gets through to get to the machine(but instead of going through the machine they could just send him to help the person on the same side side, it looked to complicated to do it like this)
more countries needs this !!!!
Who's that pokemon?
I had very good experiences also with tokyo rail and subway systems.
This is awesome design right here. It's like the conductors are like "I need to point at the board and help people purchase tickets" and they solved it simply by adding a spot where the conductor can either talk or reach out to help commuters directly.
The opening shot looks almost just like Japan Town in San Francisco.
- did he come out of that machine ?
- yeah !!
me : no one can expect that LOL
Now that is customer service!
I'm dying laughing. That was hilarious.
That is so cool! Wish we had customer service like that in the subways here in NYC!
That happened to me in Tokyo. Brilliant!
Japan in a nutshell everyone
Haha that is awesome.
"The assistance button? Okay is someone gonna come over and heOH HE COMES OUT OF THE MACHINE!
That's Japan!! What were you expecting?!
Ok I'm impressed coming from a background of required excellent customer service this is awesome
why do i love this
the guy came out of the machine saying no you can't see the wizard.
Oh, this one. Yeah, I was surprised too when I want to search the line I want.
I love Departures
Best help!
because he pushed calling button.
hmmmm....my Japanese-made DVD player is acting up. I wonder if there is a little man inside of it who can pop out and help me fix it.
Awesome!!
Ha? You can´t beat that. Japanese service - best in world. You asked for help and the guy came right out of the automata. Don´t dare telling me you seen something like that before.
I can´t say it othervise: You just have to love japan and the japanese people.
greetings and best wishes...
e.
from Germany
BRILLIANT!
that's what I call service and not a stupid QR code to a website or something....
That was no man, that was a robot!
WELL THEN.
haha if the costumer has to travel to the very far end maybe finally he would have to open one more door down there and stick one foot out as well :P but I love the idea, so cute!
Good!
Did he come out of that machine?
Lmao fucking hilarious!
por eso amo japón lo malo es que trabajan mucho XD
where the hell this is?? I always used the Hibiya line, missed this
Mabe is fake! Please check it out and let us know!
Respect
When you put your money in the machine he just sticks it in his pocket.
That's amazing ^^
now if only windows errors were that convenient to fix.
券売機の間に「この扉は開くことがあります」って書いてあるのはよく見る。
Damn that's a useful job
didn't see that coming lol
Giappo, always the best
So does Poland :D
Japan! Stop making me want to live there more and more! I don't have the money!
@Gadonj's Channel It seems like your in Asakusa Tokyo...
Not entirely sure why 9gag decided this needed to be on their "Featured" page. It's cool, sure, but not ridiculously groundbreaking like everyone here seems to be making out.
Are you kidding me? The "Help" button created a human being! It's a miracle!!
Well, when you put it like that...
That would be so pointless xD....Why make a man go to his job to cover up a machine if there's any problem with it or the machine being used. That's like paying electricity for the machine ,construction of it and other expenses just instead of making that man do what that thing does and awarding him with a nice high salary :P
He is an employee in a desk like any other person who sell tickets in train stations, but the machine does the job faster so he is there in any case the machine doesnt works for any reason (so he do the job manually), to customer assistance and i think he maybe even does the cash desk closing once his shift.
you missed the point, that wasnt a guy it was a robot
hahaha xD
Your comment is pointless...Why make a comment that won't change nothing at all and that noone really cares about. That's like paying electricity and wasting time for nothing. Also, as far as i can see you have no idea about ''marketing''... i guess you did not known that is what happens when a foreign presses the help button there and thats why you face it like that, not to mention that the machine probably doing the job for the japanese, so the expenses for construction and electricity may not be so pointless.
Actually their ticket selling machines is built right next to the customer service centre , so they'll be able to come with any assistance ^^ ( no offense )
wow!
That'd scare shit out of me!
Lol. There's a man living in the machine.
AHHH MACHINES ARE NOW PRODUCING HUMANS
Nah, this is just very well thought out architecture.
There's just a connection walkway from the place where he normally works to the machines. That's great for servicing the machines... and the customers.
意外と知られていないけれど、自動販売機の原理もこれ
( ̄□ ̄;)マジで!
The myth is real!!
There is a venting man inside every venting machine.
Dude Jeb from mojang sust tweeted your video out!
whaaaaaaaaat!?!?! no waaaaaaaaaaay! :D
しかし切符は買わなくなった。
いつもPASMO。
HOLY SHIT!!
でも改札にいる人の部屋と券売機裏が繋がってるのは日本人は大抵知ってるよね。そう考えるとそんなに不思議でもない。
So he is sitting behind the ticket vending machine the whole day, in case some one needs help?
Is that a big room behind multiple machines on all sides, or is it small?
Try in France, you will be amazed too :)
FUCKING PORTALS! HOW DOW THEY WORK?!
太神拉
Hey! Why doesn't my Nintendo DS have one of those??
