We went last summer to Joshua Tree and visited Palm Springs when it was 120 degrees! Heard the area is famous for date shakes so we were in downtown and stumbled on a 50's style ice cream place called Great Shakes! The straw decorated with mini donut! Also down the street from Marilyn statue we ate at a great Mexican restaurant with nice outdoor ambiance...Blue Coyote! I'd go again! Happy Father's day BIll!!

That park downtown has outdoor movies in the Spring and tribute bands once a month during the season. Opened not that long ago.

Still laughing at how Palm Springs reminds you of the Brady Bunch. In El Paso we can tell when an area was built because we call them the Brady Bunch houses. All built around the late 1960s/1970s. They have that Brady Bunch feel.
The food looks great. We used to have a restaurant in El Paso called Elmer's too. The font and menu very similar but no German pancakes. It closed a few years ago.
This makes me nostalgic. Hope to visit Palm Springs some time.

Have you guys thought about visiting the San Bernardino Mountains (Crestline/Lake Gregory, Lake Arrowhead)? Crestline has their lake open for the summer season and their grocery store opened back up after being closed for over a year due to the winter weather had last year from severe roof damage. Also so many cute shops in town. Plus Lake Arrowhead has their village and restaurants

Love Palm Springs, Palm Desert and La Quinta. My best friend has lived there for 15 years and I drive from the Bay Area a few times a year to visit. Next time drive up to the Ritz Carlton on Frank Sinatra Drive in Rancho Mirage for sunset. They make Old Fashions in the lobby in honor of Frank Sinatra every evening at 5. Cheers!

Another great video!! Used to go to palm springs in the early 2000s and remember how great it was!!!! Your tacos looked tasty. We used to eat at blue coyote mexican for tacos. We ate at elmers and had the german pancakes too😊😊😊cant believe they are still there!!😊 never heard of them before until we tried them in palm springs. The ice cream with the hard chocolate shell looks really good❤❤❤🎉 thanks for the german pancake review...brought back memories ❤😊😊😊

Great Vlog!.. we have Elmers up north and the cinnamon roll pancakes and omelets are awesome. The potato pancakes are hit and miss up here. It depends on which Elmers you go to.

Resort Fees! Just like Vegas 😀. It's quite gorgeous though -- pool looks magnificent! Great German potato pancakes...you had me at bacon, potato and tillamook! That's our brand of cheese as well!

that first piece of chicken on Lisa's plate is an "airline" chicken breast which includes half of the wing! Hopefully your next plane includes the whole wing.

OMG Bill and Lisa, youre in my hood. When you were filming the Saguaro, I live in those condos right behind and adjacent to the Citibank! We walk to Elmer's from our place all the time! You really did choose the BEST breakfast spot in town. Elmers cant be beat. This is so exciting, but Im so sad I didnt get to run into you. Im glad you enjoyed our beautiful, magical city. Next time send a heads up, though. We'd be happy to tell you about some great spots all over the Coachella Valley. ❤
