I've been in love with this song since I first watched Brotherhood, but for the longest time I could never even fathom the challenge of tackling this song, both lyrically and vocally. FMA is one of my top favorite anime, if not the top... and this song will always be up there as well. I had so much fun working on this one, you have no idea! There's just something so uplifting but also a little stress-relieving about singing this song, and I just can't put it into words! I hope you guys enjoy~!

Listening to this song these days brings me to tears.... I'm not going to go into too many specifics but pretty much I had a friend who's favorite anime was Full Metal Alchemist. We had a bunch of friends in our little group, with different quirks and personalities. Uhh, however one day we found out that she had kidney cancer, and it was terminal. A few months later she had died. I remember she always wanted to learn Japanese and learn to do covers on songs like "Again". Listening to this song reminds me of the old days, when we and the others used to hang out.

I also had a Japanese friend named Taeru who had to move in 3rd grade, god damn, i'm happy he taught me how to draw. He was a freaking MASTER. He taught me how to draw 3D crap. Literally sobbing because not only is FMA a huge part of my childhood, but the lyrics are just really close to home. I'm 26 now and I feel like I've made so many mistakes, missed so many opportunities, and lost so much (my parents, my change to go to college, my dreams of both being a writer and actor, etc.). Life goes on though, and hopefully we can all find something that makes life worthwhile despite our losses.

This song gives me the feels. Even though I never watched fullmetal alchemist, I can put myself in this picture the song paints. Ambiguity, courage, a hunger for love, a new beginning. These these thoughts and feelings just pour out of me, then I just want to sing and project myself so someone else can understand too. Melancholy followed by a rush of excitement, like my highs and all time Lows. A rush of hope and determination, me vs the world. I'm ready.
In two words, I'd describe it as jaded hope. Like having failed terribly and known fear and despair but still holding out hope for the future and determined to make up for it.
This is one of the greatest anime ever. Please give it a watch I highly recommend you do

Two boys, one who is in a suit of armor. And the boy who has robotic limbs. Trying to bring back their mom, but it did not work. Going through a wild Journey just to get their bodies back to normal. What a story. This anime is the only anime that is a 10 out of 10. It has no flaws. And the characters are perfect. The plot twists are great. And has has a really good ending.

The thing that really made this anime depressing. Is that they were only trying to resurrect their mother. Who was really all they had. Edward was really close to his mother,and after realizing that his alchemy reminded her of his father,his hatred grew even more. Which in turn he eventually learned the harsh truth that only equivalence exist,but attempting human transmutation made him realize even more that even pretending to play a Gods role for even just a moment will have critical consequences. No mercy,even to children. This show actually teaches a lot in a logical sense.
So not only is it about recovering their bodies,but also to gain redemption.

+Christopher Garcia Yeah, I tried to listen to some top 40 stuff a few months ago since I remember liking some over the past few years, so I figured that maybe I was just biased against them...nope, they were utter crap in my opinion. For some reason almost every artist I've heard just isn't as good after they become super famous. The Arctic Monkeys (still one of my favorite bands, just that I like their old stuff more), Linkin Park, Kanye West to list a few. The number of people that actually become better despite becoming famous are tiny. Pretty much the only examples I can think of are Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, and Adele although I'm sure there are more.
Once again, this is just my opinion though.
