Eh, when a team has a big comeback the story is pretty much always mostly about the comeback with minimal mention about the poor start. In this story it was about 10 seconds talking about the poor start and about 15 seconds talking about the blown lead/almost blown lead.
@jonmendelson1104 I agree, but when a team gets 0 coverage throughout the season on this channel (which I love and follow) and only video on Stars during round 1 is how Vegas "imploded", not how Stars took control, is a little disappointing. Now, round 2 comes around, and 0 credit to Dallas. Stars are up 2-1 now and I'm really curious if Eck will even make a video about it. Just my very biased venting lol

I’m a stars fan so obviously I’m biased but dude, no real comments at all or a video about how the avalanche a team with the 2nd best forward in the world and essentially the best defenseman in the world literally cannot stop their team from getting killed for 85% of the game.
Idc about the Jamie Benn hit but you can’t seem to stop glazing the avalanche even when they go down 0-3 in one period 💀 but somehow hammer home the point of them scoring 3 on us.
10 seconds talking about how the Avs need to play a full 60 minutes vs 15 seconds talking about the Stars blowing leads. Generally speaking when there's a big comeback that's going to be the story and the poor start will be secondary.

Umm... Benn's hits can definitely get greasy, but i gotta call you out on that one Eck. That was shoulder to shoulder. That might get called in the regular season, but that wouldn't get called 10 times out of 10 in the playoffs. That hit is a "gotta keep your head up" moment, nasty but clean.

Watching the game, Benn's hit was a clean shoulder to shoulder hit, the follow through on the hit caused the contact with Toews head as he was going down from the original hit. The multiple angles shown, on the broadcast, made that very clear.
Don't forget, the replay room in Toronto is reviewing these games, as they occur.

Benn hit was a clean hit. If you hate the Stars then it was a dirty hit. But even after they reviewed it, it was ruled no penalty.
This is one of those weird moments where I saw it in real time and thought it was dirty. Read your comment, watched it back frame by frame... and then realized I was wrong. All the force hits like his collar bone area and causes his head to whip as a result. It's REALLY close to being a head hit, but really close isn't a penalty.

Watching this after Game 3 is so funny. Everyone thinks the Avs are elite and yet if it wasn't for 1 blown game (which Dallas almost one on 2 or 3 chances in OT, BTW), Dallas would be up 3-0. Stars are finding a way to beat the Avs despite their top guys performing well.

I feel like the types of goals scored in the West playoffs (more from distance) are different from those in the East. The West seems like there's way more space, less hitting, and more bounces that turn into goals.
Yeah I don't know if the playing style is different. I did take averages from the 2020 playoffs and noticed the average of goals per game in the West was higher in the East. I'm curious if altitude plays a role in the scoring aspect.
Many in the East are known for their goaltending.
