Fishing, hunting, trapping, and foraging are all good skills to have. But how long do you think any fish/wildlife etc. will still be available if worse comes to worse and all of the stores are empty and all reserves are exhausted ? I'm curious as to the SS crew's opinion on this. A family of four can consume a good deal of meat each day without any potatoes, grains, veggies, dairy, etc. to fill out their meals. A square mile only holds so much wild game.

Really depends on the situation. Our primary would be food reserves such as freeze dried. Caches Along routes to alternate & contingent locations where more stockpiles exist. Smoking meat and fish whenever you’re able to catch wild game to preserve for longer. In an all out SHTF, it won’t take long for wild game to be scarce, so preps, and the ability to provide 360 degree 24/7 protection would be essentially long term. Pre-established groups would also be necessary, in our opinion.
