- I’m showing you my very first thrift store haul and try on in today’s video! I love thrifting clothes and accessories but I’ve never actually filmed a haul video with what I’ve gotten, so I thought it’d be fun to make since I know a lot of you enjoy thrifting too. I visited my local Goodwill shop and found 10 pieces of clothing and accessories for less than $25 - some perfect for winter and others for spring! Check out the video to see what I got and hear some of my styling plans and refashioning ideas I have for a few pieces, then let me know in the comments what your favorite thrift store find has been!

I do love thriftstores. I germany it calls red cross Shop oder Fleamarket shop.
Do you do modifications on your thrift treasures or are the items ready to wear?
I love to shop at the goodwill I always find great fabrics, threads by the bag full and I bought my vintage sewing machine there for $7 it works better than my newer sewing machines 😂 I love to thrift shop you never know what you'll find! 😄🙌🙌🙌

Yay, I'm a thrifter too, love going to charity shops we call them in UK. You have some great & pretty finds there.
You could use rubbing alcohol or non-acetone nail polish remover to get the polish off the bag. 🤗
Great that you go to these shops with an open mind, you can disassemble things, & use maybe an ugly dress or skirt as a template for a pattern to make something else, or turn a dress into a skirt, or just re-use the fabrics. By buying the biggest size you can get, you get more fabric. Lol. I've brought jewellery & taken it apart & made something completely different with it too. I've found actual sewing patterns & notions aswell. The possibilities are endless. 😁 Thank you for sharing your haul with us, & take care of yourself too. ❤🙂🐶

It sounds like you’ve had some awesome finds 😃 That’s a great idea to take apart jewelry and make something else with it too, I wouldn’t have thought of that! I saw a really cool necklace the other day at Goodwill and was disappointed because it was broken, now reading your comment I am thinking I could’ve taken the pieces that weren’t broken and maybe added them to another necklace or made earrings with them or something. I’ll definitely be looking at the jewelry with a different eye next time thanks to you! Fantastic haul Monica. At my local Goodwill, I found a beautiful black w/ white polka dots stretch shirt where the fabric gathers into a v-neckline, other beautiful tops as well. It’s nice that people donate, recycle their clothing for others to appreciate. I just bought 3 purses that I would never have been able to afford new. You have to go regularly as the products change constantly.

One of my interests is refashioning my clothes, I can always find something to sew. So I for one would like to see more thrifting videos and refashion videos. I love thrift stores I live in Jacksonville Florida and they have a a big old bin full of clothes ,stuff a bag for a dollar, I have fun some of the clothes could be used to reconstruct, that's also fun ,you are beautiful inside and out thank you so much for sharing your helpful and great videos

We call them "Op Shops" here in Australia. "Op" short for opportunity.
My favourite thing is finding the random bags full of fabric scraps for $5 and going through the bag to find anything unusual or pretty.
Ohh yes I think I've heard that name but didn't realize what it was! I bet it's fun to dig through fabric scraps 😃Especially for smaller projects!
Fabulous finds Monika. Ohhhh the fabric belt with the buckle you don't like....if you don't find a replacement you like, you could always cover that one with a fabric that suits the belt more. Lee :)

Love your finds. I have been thrifting for awhile, and just recently started sewing them into different pieces, which they have told me is harder than sewing from scratch! That cute black belt would look great with jeans and a cute blouse. My fave thing I have found was a wonderful hobo purse with multcolored leather flowers all over. I get complements everywhere I go. Try going to church thrifts (st vincent de paul I believe is allover the US) they tend to be alot cheaper than goodwill. IMO Goodwill prices have been getting way out of hand. Happy Thrifting!

I agree, some things at Goodwill do seem too pricey... 2:55 about 9 or 10 years ago, when I was a sophomore in HS, I was in the after school program to recover credits. During break, the "teacher" brought in a metal stamping kit and a gallon size Ziploc bag full of old pennies. 2 or 3 other girls (and me) were flattening and stamping some. The kit was brought in every day for 2 1/2 weeks straight, and I made a bracelet similar to that necklace (though it looks like those are just blanks)
Oh that is so awesome! I bet that was fun to make a bracelet out of 😃 Do you still have it? Yes the one I found was just smooth on both sides but I’m sure the bracelet looked so cool having the detail of the coins on it! Thanks for watching!

I shop at good will as well. Love the treasures I find there. Buy cloth shower curtain and repurpose it to a kimono jacket
