I think turning the legion raids into solo content is gonna be a coding nightmare, there’s so many systems that are set for 4/8 player parties and they would have to completely change it from the ground up to make it work solo. I think it would be better to make an easy mode of the raids with less harsh punishments and maybe no/ only some wipe mechs.
Yeah, like the bosses will be so different in solo to group play that it's almost worrysome on how much these people who only experience the solo will actually learn and then not be prepared when they go into a group raid. Granted they will at least be knowledgeable on normal patterns at least and then be expected to have knowledge via guides and videos, so they would be more reliable in general than someone just going in fresh no solo. But yeah, idk. Solo is def really far off because of all this is such a huge design change.
I think it would be much better if they encouraged higher ilvl players to get mokokos in their parties and having the patience to teach how a raid works. Like, give more gold to higher ilvl players based on how many mokokos they have in the party and how long the raid takes to clear. And maybe make bussing for gold a bannable offense since getting gold at low ilvl is already pretty hard and that also makes it so people that don't learn a raid at least a little will still progress without learning how to play. That said, taking away some of the harder wipe mechanics where a single person making a mistake can wipe the whole party would make gatekeeping a lot less troublesome. I think. Though when I see people asking for 1500÷ ilvl for hard valtan that don't take anyone lower even when there are already enough players to carry so hard one going afk wouldn't matter at all, well my hope for the community is very low.
It's such a rough topic to be honest. Bussing and gatekeeping are a byproduct of the design of the raids. The game is designed for players to want to minmax with 6 characters, which then leaves them with the timely task of doing all their dailies and then stack raids on top, and since one person can drastically increase the runtime, gatekeeping is the result. Giving experienced players extra gold for bringing in mokokos would make bussing more profitable and inject more gold into the economy. Bussing will never be a bannable offense. Something like solo content is something that the nervous new players can take at their own pace without criticism along with just not feeling like taking the bus is their only route. Of course we need more than that for the game, but they are at least starting to creatively address these long standing problems for new players.
@@Jukwol Making players pay gold for a bus becoming a bannable offense would be paired with the extra gold for the experienced players so they could do it without draining resources from those who quite objectively need them much more being further behind in the game, and as an idea to encourage people to have patience with newer players through an incentive. If gold injections in the game are a problem, which I don't know considering how hard it is to afford a good accessory even just at relic tier, than maybe some useless stats and engravings that nobody uses should be either deleted or revamped, or at least stopped from dropping. I see stuff costing over ten thousand gold, on top of the pheon issue, and hitting 5 engravings looks like a nightmare on pretty much any class, while the legion raids barely give any gold, assuming you even get accepted into a party often enough to learn how they work and get to clear them. only to get useless accessories and craft single digit quality gear that will need more gold to have a small chance to get to 40-50 with hardly any chance at all to get beyond that. I'll be honest, I like how the combat works on paper, I loved going through the guardian raids that everyone seemed to hate from tier 1 and tier 2 to tier 3, but once you start on legion commanders the situation gets increadibly frustrating. Sorry for the ranty answer.
I like the ide myself for my 300 alts but i dont get how a new player doing them solo is gonna prepare them for end game group mechanics x3. X3+1 they would literally need bots to play with them.
Yeah, as a catchup mechanic it can be great. But as a learning mechanic, with how heavily they have to redesign things makes me worried on how much people will learn from it.
i stopped playing because of gate keeping, if i can solo my way up to end game. i will do that honestly, fuck every gate keeper out there. so i will rather solo. or give me horizontal homework to get end game stuff and item level. make the map usefull again
Play the game as it is or dont play it at all,if you dont work for your spot in a raid what makes you think you deserve it as a new player or veteran, put in the grind or the cash or go home! It’s not about current players who have no trouble finding parties, it’s about new/returning players struggling to do vykas/clown/ Brel 1-2. Most of my friends already quit as They can’t even find parties/ are gatekept. No point of having legion raids be this punishing for players who are trying to catch up. I understand why gate keeping exists as I spent many nights jailed away but there are many things they can change in this game I haven’t lost hope yet.

realy hope more solo content coming
Yeah, it's def in the works. Just gonna need some time in the oven.
Remember when the matchmaking button did something.
It still changes color kekw
Duuuuude. Music from LOCO : D I really liked that ^^
One of the few times I enjoyed a MOBA.
as long as they do something, anything.
Yeah, unlike jumpstart, I don't think they can make this completely useless and forgettable. But just saying that might be casting a hex on it now.

it's not about it being hard to play
it's hard to get to places
we play for year+ and we get places because we played for so long
somoene just entering the game right now will look at what we have and feel like they can never get it
in reality if they just stick to it they will eventually catch up to the same content we will be doing on some release due to the catchup mechanics and SG not designing raids for max ilvl
like right now max ilvl is 1655 and our highest content in the game is 1600
before akkan we had 1620 max ilvl and our highest content was 1580
before kayangel we had 1620 and highest content was 1560
before brel hard we had 1620 and highest content was 1540
whales can always chase the pinnacle but content isn't really dropping for the pinnacle either way
so if they enjoy the game and just play the game they will get to where we are and play the same game
if they want to ego chase they know what they gotta do
if they want to ego chase but not put in the effort required then everyone can just say to them "fuck off"
