Those Magic booster packs are a good motivator. I found them in a shop, 40 USD a pack. The art work is awesome. I am also glad they used the characters from the books. I got a Tom Bombadil card.
Fantastic, I always like seeing how other writers motivate themselves! So I think you're writing an adventure/mystery story? That's really cool, I've written a couple of novellas like that. looking forward to reading yours!
I know you play video games sometimes, ever played the Uncharted series? I played them all recently to get myself in the headspace for the last adventure story I wrote... and then like mainlined the soundtracks while writing 😅.
you should do a vid where you talk about your favorite games and what book stories are most similar to them.
I love Uncharted, and Tomb Raider, and any games like that. And yeah it's a contemporary adventure series greatly inspired by stuff like this 😊. Also great idea, though that would be a long video 😅

I really like your Hedwig the owl mug!! I have never gotten into Magic the gathering, but those Lord of the rings cards look amazing!! Where can I go to get help, or worksheets on how to start a book, outlines, characters? I am not really good with dialog .Keep being awesome, and I look forward to more of your videos!!
Ah I have filmed a video about the best writing craft books I've read, so keep an eye out for that next week, should be some good resources in there to help get you started on an outline 😊

Great to follow your writer's journey this way. Nice self-motivation with the Magic cards! And great to see you using the Neo2 still for distraction-free writing. I'm actually researching a distraction-free writing tool myself and came across the Freewrite Alpha, which looks like a modern spiritual successor to the Neo2, but with wireless features, and a nice mechanical keyboard built in. Is the Freewrite Alpha a device you're also familiar with? Would love to hear your thoughts on it. Keep up the great vids!
The Freewrite Alpha just came out, though I have been following its development for some time since I am definitely interested in trying it out at some point. It really is a modern successor of the Neo2, but right now it's a bit too expensive for me to just plunge into getting one, but hopefully down the line I can get my hands on it and make a review.
@@IasminaEdina I hope you can get a review unit or something. I watched some first impressions online and they were positive about the keyboard, but negative on the dim and rather small LCD-screen.

Is it the sequel to the book you wrote Hunting Vienna? (hope i got the name right) I have the feeling it is. I don't write in more than 10 years maybe should go back to it (after finishing my phd). I used to write like you're doing in this first draft, going along with the characters. Now i know that you should outline, at least a bit. Seeing this video made me missed writing.
Yes you got it right 😊 I'm hoping to release the first book, Hunting Vienna, sometime soon, so I wanted to start working on the rest of the series so it won't be ages before I can release the sequels.
And you should totally get back to writing if that's still something you want to do!
