Dude, i dunno if my opinion really matters, but dont worry about how well you're 'performing'. The entertainment just comes from the stoke, if you're having a shocker but all the boys are sending it, that's good footage. Sick trips are a team effort! No pressure dude, just keep charging and sending positive vibes! This is the reality of professional athletes i suppose, the pressure is on, but your viewers are stoked all the same!

I totally understand why you were frustrated, but if you're worried that you disappointed your viewers because you didn't catch many waves, DON'T BE!! Speaking for myself, I get entertained by just watching you go about your daily life, waves or no waves :)

I always set high expectations for surf trips. Last year I broke my finger 2 weeks in on a 2 month trip. Could not water photograph & surf for 4 weeks. It sucked! Been doing this for 40 years now and it still happens. Good Karma gifting your boards though. I do the same to help get out of a funk. So stoked for the guy receiving them! Pura Vida Koa & Jack!!!

Bro I totally get it. You are self competitive. You always are going for that personal best and push yourself and knowing that you are capable of more but not being in the enviroment to prove it and capture it is aggravating. I'm like that with snowboarding I had an amazing opportunity to stay with a friend in Mammoth CA and go snowboarding while I was living in Michigan. I was so excited to try to conquer some of their steepest double blacks and when I got there they hadn't had fresh snow in a month and a lot of them were closed plus they were very icy. I wanted to push myself so bad that trip but the conditions didn't really allow it. I didn't want to complain I was so fortunate enough to be there with friends at a ski in lodge but at the same time I didn't meet my goal. But it made me hungry to find a way back. so yeah I understand your frustration as much as anyone.
