I play Evan because I want to be a cool dragon wizard, if that means playing a symphony on my keyboard every time I want to do damage then so be it.

I play and main evan cause of flame wheel before his revamp, and after revamp i still got play, right when i found out that my keyboard is full of skills... Then I quit for awhile and start off a new main
get a nice thoccy crispy keyboard and youll actually be playing a symphony of angelic clicks and clacks

Lara rekindled my love for MapleStory. She's so much fun and the first class I ever pushed past level 200. She can feel really squishy sometimes but her playstyle more than makes up for it IMO. Plus she's super adorable. ♥
Correction : Luminous does have i-frame(that bind skill). Illium does not have bind. Kinesis's deep impact is teleport
I hope battle mage will get updated soon. It's my favorite class and my main character. The feeling of going up close and wack things with your staff to dead as a mage is very satisfying.
True, when it comes to magic tricks, the Muscle Wizard is always the most entertaining. Maybe one day Battle Mage will get Fist as a skill.

BaM gang! Our damage might not be the best, but We slowly turned into a burst class. You also don't have to telecast all the time.
If you cycle your summons properly, You can have amazing map control for medium sized maps, which is super useful, especially in Grandis.
Fck yea ! Love BaM’s I love the whole resistance. They are very unique and underrated imo
After Destiny, I am so happy that I main Illium. He now can instantly charge his avatar gauge with one button push which make him OP cos u can burst 2 times in a row.

Something worth noting about Blaze Wizard post-destiny is that the blazing conduit that boosts damage no longer requires the caster to stand within the conduit to receive the buffs. This means, with some cooldown reduction through inner abilities and Mechanic legion skill, you can have this skill up 100% of the time and basically just have a permanent 60% damage and +1 attack speed buff.
Are you able to make updated versions of these videos for the surge of new players coming to maple story this year? This is the best series I found to get an idea of what class I want to play just concern some of the information might be out of date
As a Kinesis main, I would like to add to the Kinesis section for mobbing/bossing for anyone interested 😊
For mobbing, you mainly spam the 5th job skill Psychic Bullet, which has fantastic horizontal range. As for PP management, it’s pretty manageable, as you can upkeep Psychic Drain to constantly get PP back and cycle through the Charger skill and the hypers for more potent restoration.
Bossing isn’t that bad actually for non-stationary bosses. Our main mobbing attack is the 1st job skill Metal Press. The 5th job skills other than Psychic Bullet add a lot to Kinesis’ burst. The D20 Dice skill might be tricky to keep on the boss at first, but you can pull it back to you by pressing the skill again and push it with your push skill as needed. Meanwhile, Psychic Tornado and Law of Gravity are really easy to use. Tornado attacks around your character while Law of Gravity follows the boss. The Destiny Update made Kinesis’ burst cycle to now be 180s cooldown like everyone else too!
Other Notes:
With the Destiny Update, Deep Impact’s delay got reduced by half, so now it basically has the utility of a teleport.
The train skill is situational in mobbing (depends on whether you can leverage it in the map well) and in bossing (only usually 1-2 times during bind/burst). This is the least-cost effective skill in terms of duration.
Finally another kinesis main 😂🤣
I should also add because I've previously mained kinesis. There are a LOT of skills you have to upkeep. It's never mentioned but it's a lot to handle. Controlling the 5th job skill is not nearly as hard as you may think but what is, is making sure the boss is properly debuffed and your debuffs are positioned well.
For instance, psychic force needs to always be on the boss. It lasts a while (30 seconds) but easily forgettable. Psychic drain also should be on the boss. Really ups your damage if it is and really makes you so-so if it isn't. Boss may move out of it which means you have to cast it often. Also, can't drain a mob if it's dead so be careful when farming... Mind tremor. Psychic shot. Mind break. Law of Gravity (60 sec). Mind Over Matter (90sec). Psychic Tornado (120sec).
All your skills have different durations, different cooldowns, and after your first bind, things get really messy really quickly. Not even mentioning the setup time. For some reason, cast times for this class are really uncomfortable and bulky. In my opinion, it's not a good class and this is why. That said, in my opinion also, the aesthetic is easily the best in this game. Too bad you're gonna have to play on full transparency cause your skills take up the entire screen >_>
@@river4267 psychic force final damage boost was removed and its now added to another skill as a passive, so you don't need to cast it now for the damage amplification. While psychic shot DEF reduction is added to Grab and Ultimate Material, so u don't need to purposely cast shot for the DEF reduction, lastly they changed all the skills with CD TO 180s besides law of gravity which is still 60s and Matter which is still 90s, making all the skills with CD in the 180s burst cycle. So yea, I guess it's more manageable now?

As a lvl 241 Kanna main: don't main kanna now, the damage nerf is too severe for solo kannas, whilst domain being untouched just means domain mules remain at large, so I have absolutely no fking idea wat was the balancing team thinking when they made those changes. You could still create a kanna to lvl 200 cus her link skill and legion buff are great, but other than that just play something else.
The main reason I'm not switching main is too much sunk cost being put invested already, and also I do like her overall range + jump attack + teleport niches
I can't wait for the next burning been trying to get back into maple lately, I've finally decided I want to burn a Luminous as I'm really liking its look and play style C:
Once u have managed the vein controls on the map, Lara can basically dump the whole map in dmg with almost no cooldown time on skills.
IL mage is a solid and enjoyable time, extremely well rounded, Highly reccomend

Edit : and i don't think Illium has their own bind? iirc illium has 2 i frames but no bind.
Can confirm evan doesn’t feel good at all starting out, if you tough it out and get them built enough though, the playstyle really makes you feel like an elemental dragon master! …. That gif was so perfect though lmfao
Maplestory is unique in the sense that except for a select few like hoyoung, the more complicated classes arent actually stronger than the simpler classes which makes no sense at all. Then you just end up with classes like evan that become even more unpopular because they are hard to play and yet you dont get adequately rewarded in terms of damage output.

@@Roflmao6173 I feel like the only class that gets stronger the better you are is prob blaster (and maybe cadena) but those are the highest skill ceiling classes.
@@Roflmao6173 It's what happens when new classes/content happen and they don't update the old content to adapt to the new changes. The funny thing? All classes were considered OP at the time of creation, Evan included.
I haven't been able to play maplestory in months but I remember really enjoying kenises and making it my third ( maybe second main when I return but cannoneer is too fun to give up)
I feel as if Evan would be significantly better if you could macro a Mir skill and an Evan skill together to create the fusion abilities. It would cut back on a lot of the micro-managing the class has. Just pick your favourite fusions, macro them and use them to your heart's content.
I agree the evan skill linking is a bit confusing, I always loved the dragon aspect though
@@niersu It's like, when they revamped Evan, they wanted to make it unique... but ended up making it needlessly overcomplicated.
Honestly, most OG Evans really preferred it's original skills... spamming that fire wheel skill for grinding just felt better, even if it was really linear.

also, for the ignition burn, im planning on making a really obscure/"unpopular" mage so im stuck between kinesis, evan, or blaze wiz

Isn't kanna bind only 2 seconds longer than the next longest bind, 15s vs I/L's 13s?
Glad is listen to your review on Bishops. I mainly play FFXIV, however I play red mage wish is a utility mage. I was bouncing between Luminous and Bishop, however bishop has more dimension. I just don’t want to be stuck at healing others all the time. Really looking forward to hitting level 140
Luminous’s armageddon functions both as a bind and an iFrame.

hey @coppersan how many burning characters are we able to make in GMS during this destiny update (reboot server)
i saw some speculation that they would be having the ability to get 3 characters burning, due to "kms having 3 burning during the destiny event"

So. I don't fully understand bossing or how I am supposed to get up past 150. I haven't played since Xenon was added and I never got very far until recently. Making new chars for Destiny. I'm 190 F/P and I deal maybe 500k a hit if that. I don't know if that is good or how I get farther.
I have just over 2-3k main stat.

Regarding Lara: Lara doesn't absorb veins for bossing. Only one of them is going to be absorbed (for now) but that'll change with the next set of balances.
I wouldn't mind longer videos with more explanations and slower dive into classes.

Lara is really squishy I struggled with her until I got all the gear slots filled with decent amount of starforce.
I need help returning player after years and years. Was planning to go mage route picked explorer did the main quest got to lvl 10 then it made me a sword man for job one

IL is a friendly starter class only having chain lightning one shot mobs then you’re good to go but FP need damage to get to the point that mobbing is comfortable like just staying still and rotating all skills
You can try them both tho if you don’t like one then use Changing job coin to change back to another

If the Kanna's Spirit Domain/Conjure is maxed then yes, cuz no matter how much or less funding she has, as long as that skill is fully boosted, the boost effect is just as powerful. While for Bishop, their main party boosting skill Pray depends on Bishops INT, meaning a Bishop with more INT will be boosting more than a lower INT Bishop. So yea, it's much easier to find a maxed Domain Kanna than a very funded Bishop, which most of them will go solo since they're already that strong lol 😂 🤣

I created a I/L mage after coming back to maple. I’m a week in and level 196. The highest I had previously gotten was 155.
I feel kinda lost in the game. But I should get to 200 tonight. My damage is low though, I need to figure that out

Evan is AWFUL till 4th job. Once you get this combos down getting him to lv210 was a breeze imo. A lot of fun. BUT my keyboard was FILLED with moves and his burst takes a crap ton of time to get out. For those reasons I didn't play him after. Got my Bishop to lv220 and man his attack mode is nutty. Landed Atk Speed last night on his IA too, insanely fun. And the great extra drop and exp as well from hypers is nuts... My BIGGEST complaint is doing Chuchu and dailies like that on Bishop with teleporting vs up jump is VERY annoying. The lack of freedom with mobility is very restricting imo.
But what about Danny phantom

Do they still have the DC issue where you'd DC almost every time you're flying fast and attacking/changing maps? I loved them, but the DC issue was so annoying that i had to drop them pretty early.

I love BAM. I was on hiatus after Nexon nerfed it and changed its skill ..the twister one and when we can use all 3 auras...and also they changed the dark shock and the buff when they change every damage we do will also fill up our HP. At that time we are kinda like immortal ..specially during PVP. I love using that twister and suck the opponent HP...we can win easily lol.. Now is a bit better after Nexon nerfed it...but i still hate the cooldown..nexon put cooldown almost on everything..and also, i love the old Dark genesis that look like Genesis of Bishop.
When I watched The King's Avatar, i really wish the Battle Mage is like Ye Qiu character...
BaM is the best class for PvP Other classes can also heal with their attacks but can't telecast.

@@animanga_sensei Oh yeah, Auras + Telecasting + Blood Drain + Dark Chain + Finishing Blow + OG Dark Shock + Twister Spin (for area denial) + Battle Rage (for 1v1).
No other class stood a chance against BaMs in pvp lol
@@MK_ULTRA420 rite...but i hate how Nexon remove some skills now and we can't have all 3 aura at the same time. I remember the Dark Shock has 1000% dmg. before they integrate it with Teleport. And BAM keep replenish because we have that Blood Drain
@@animanga_sensei Even with the nerfs BaM would still be the best at pvp. Nexon removed aura stacking and nerfed the Blood Drain effect to 1% max in pvp and it still wasn't enough.
If hackers didn't kill pvp, Battle Mages would have lol

I don't see any love for Blaze Wizards in the comments, so I just want to jump in here as a Blaze Wizard main myself to say... yup, fair.
We're currently the worst class in the game by every metric with zero redeeming qualities and no unique abilities, since Destiny made our only unique ability no longer unique to us. And the upcoming Ignition only makes it worse.
As a Mihile main at 250 I feel that boo.
