This is pretty much what I been looking for a while now I bought yesterday cant wait to get it. The big kick pad for the double bass looks nice and the big snare looks good as well I'm excited to give it a try! :D
You usually get what you pay for..sometimes you get less sometimes more. The Simmons are pretty good for the price too. The sound samplings Simmons has on my Titan 50 are really really nice. The decay on the cymbals are very realistic.. the cymbals on here are practically non existent.. for around $400 the Simmons Titan 50 is a strong candidate but does not have a throne, headphones, or separate hi hat.. so .. but the sound sampling I can vouch for on the 50.. and the Bluetooth Audio is worth its weight in gold because I can literally turn on my iPhone, pair up and start Amazon music and it’ll lay my live drums right on top of the music.. that … is really cool
Have you been happy with the Titan 50? I’m leaning toward buying that, but then came across this video. This sounds better than the Donner DED 200, but not as good as the Titan 50. I do like that it has an actual hi-hat, and an extra cymbal though. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated…thanks so much!
@@keithinator5874 I ended up after all the motions getting rid of the Titan 50 buying a Simmons 1250 for two weeks and getting refund to buy the Titan 70… If I had big money I’d buy the Roland but for $678.00 I am very very satisfied with the 70..
Sounds unexpectedly good😮It's my little brother's birthday soon, and with the new semester starting soon, I think this would be a great birthday and school gift. Is there a boy who wouldn't be interested in drums?🤨🤨
Haven't touched a kit for 35 years and looks like this is gonna be my first one. Excellent review, great explanation on how the set up is and thanks for playing so we can hear what it sounds like. Technology has certainly moved on since my early days 😂🤣😂🤣
Bad ass man. I bought an electronic set with a house branding(OSP) on it for a few hundred dollars 16 years ago and a double kick pedal for about $100. A few years later, the identical set right down to the drum brain showed up in MF but with the name Alesis stamped on it lol. That kit was so good, I bought a 7-piece acoustic from them with 9-ply shells and double braced for a measly $400. The cymbals were/are at least usable but nothing special, everything else top notch. It was about 20 years ago all the stuff coming in from China made a massive leap in quality.
Wow, It's very cheap. I have never seen it with real hi-hat style. How was its performance hi-hat? Open/Close well? I have only experience with Roland VH-11 model.
Hi! Excellent review. But I have a question. Is the hi-hat pedal three zoned? (like open, half-open-closed) or is it just two zoned (open and closed)? Thanks
A few months ago I decided to learn how to play drums and bought a Donner DED-200. I am a work in progress. The Alesis Expansion kit plugs right in and work in case anyone wants another tom and cymbal.
If you have time and it's possible, can you do a quick video on how to set up the hi hat for this kit? I purchased the kit and the hi hat works but I'm getting miss-triggers and double triggers. Thanks!
@@MrPooPooJohnI ended up buying the kit. The module only allows for two zone (the body and the rim). However, certain kit sounds allow for you to have the bell.
Hm... for someone who is deciding between these two, is there a favorite / winner between the two? On one hand the Fesley looks pretty solid, maybe a bit more so than the Donner (not having seen either in person). On the other hand, the separate Hi-hat stand with the mechanical pedal and chain, etc looks like a lot more parts that might break at some point compared to the simpler Hi-hat setups that Donner and most other electronic drumsets in that price range use... so I'm torn...
@@mailtomark donner ded-200 owner here. I'm gonna change it: the snare is quite bugged, after a while the snare would recognize strokes as rimshots, and it's quite frustrating. The kit is not bad, but i think materials are not that good, the sounds too.
Hey, who do you think you are with those stick flips? El Estapario?? 😁 Seriously though, thanks for the review. They sound awesome! I noticed on Amazon a $100 off coupon so the deal puts it on par with the Donner DED-200.
New subscriber here! Great channel and I see the time that goes in to it 👍. I am literally going purchase this kit I pove it. I closed my eyes and the drums passed the "sound good" test almost real! I can't find any other information about the company but I'll do my research this week. I just wanted to know if the customer service was decent. Even if the snare rum is sensitive i could always swap that out later. Again great drumming and playing 👌
I just unboxed and set mine up and I’m not sure if I did it incorrectly or if I’m missing a power cable for one of the crash symbols. Do one of these pieces share a power cord? Thanks for the video!
If your DAW computer has enuff available resources, there is zero latency in my experience... and I have quite a bit going on midi-wise. FWIW, I'm using a Mac (mini late 2014) and Logic Pro X (10.7.8) with the EZDrummer 3 plugin...
The hi-hat sold it for me not many kits come with an actual hi-hat much less under 500. Plus the dual zones as well. No brainer

Very well explained and played, thanks for the review, Colby!😃

I want to add it to my Christmas list, but the discount is killing me!🤣🤣

How much is that I need to get one so I can practice on
$499 on Amazon, it’s in the description on the video and $100 off if you use the code 🤘🏻

Yup, getting this one for sure!
Does it have crosstick? And, if upgraded the ride cymbal, does it have for the bell to sound? @FesleyMusic
Is that a yes?

Use addictive drums and you'll be gravy
Colby which sounds better to you the Fesley FED 1000 or the Alesis Nitro Max ???
Does this set make cowbell sound? Also overall is the sound quality on par with Simmons and Alesis?
Way better than donner 👍
How does it work for recording? Can you multi track one of those?
Works good with tracking MIDI and VST Drums 🤘🏻
Does it come with that computer screen?
No🥲This electronic drum kit includes a 10''mesh snare x1, 8" tom-tom x3, kick drum x1,10" crash x2, 12"ride x1, 12"Hi-Hat x1, hi-hat pedal x 1 sound module x1, drum stand x 1, earphone x 1, drum stick x1, drum stool x1, and all cables needed.
How are the headphones that come with this kit?
Not bad at all
How does this one compare to the Donned DED-200 (quality-wise and sounds)? Thank you!
Good!

Can you adjust the drum sensitivity on this kit?
Is that a yes or no? Thinking about getting the kit. But I don't want to get it if you can't adjust the sensitivity of the drum

Great video! Can the snare produce a rim click?
Yes 👌🏻
Do anyone know if all those toms are double sensitive and how many sensitive areas does the crash contain?
Can you guys tell me about this fed 1000 drum set. It's the rack on all metal?

How would this kit work for someone thats taller. Im 6'4 and it looked low to you. But I dont know your height though.
Can you choke the symbol?
Yes 👍🏻
Sure don’t change kits or anything
Yeah totally :/
Module sucks tho
Yeah it does, like most e-kits... this kit plays like a monster using midi and a computer with a DAW, tho...
@@glennmiller6891 amazing point but I’d rather just have a really nice module instead 🤷♂️
Do the cymbals stop making noise if you stop them with your hand?
Yes it does
hardly hear the closed high-hat
49.99😂
I don't think I'll see anything but a $100 coupon.
Hi. This is Rodolfo from Brasil
Is the kick pad mesh as well or hard rubber?
