I actually had similar situation in my recent game and I tested it. You dont need to hold the banana since you get it first and then the minion procs it for gold. You can see that at 5:25 , you get a new banana and instantly lose it.

Unless they’ve changed it recently; you need to have at least one spell in hand first for the new mukla banana to be eligible for eating, it has to do with some efficiency check the game does for start of turns effects

You dont need to hold a banana on turn 8 you actually got a big banana then it was eaten by the conductor for 4 gold

The banana and conductor have a bug where if your hands empty there's a chance that conductor will activate before mulkla hero power

but now im getting wins and i only get 4 mmr or ill get a 3rd and lose 72 like i dont understand that part of the "ranking system"

So, if you play against people with lower mmr than you, your "skill" is inherently bigger. If you got big amounts of mmr from those wins, you could rank easier into the thousands, only to be crushed later because that is not the place you belong.
The idea is that since youre expected to win against weaker opponents, the reward is lower.
But if you win against stronger opponents, the reward is bigger.
