This brings me back... I've been singing this song for over a decade, and I _still_ have trouble with the low notes. The fact that my throat is screwed up doesn't help...
There's a CZcams video that has Paul Simon's isolated vocal. He sings harmony below Art Garfunkel, so he basically has all the low notes. If you can sing along with Paul's isolated vocal, it'll give you a good practice at singing the low notes.
just keep singing it the way you feel at ease with it, your heart counts, not your virtuosity in the first place.
That's exactly why I'm here, lol... Simon and Garfunkel songs are all *just* at the bottom of my range, so I'm singing them to try and practice it and hopefully sing lower notes than I'm able to now.

@@Branes51 Are you sure? Even original singers can have a song remade. Simon and Garfunkel once recorded a version that sounded all acoustic with little to no other instrumentation other than their voices and an acoustic guitar. This version also includes a band, featuring electric guitar, bass guitar, drum, and possibly keyboard. Check it out. It should be on CZcams.

This is the instrumental of the second version of the song released by original singers Simon and Garfunkel.(1966) The first one featured just voice and guitar in 1964.
The original version with only vocals and a guitar was released October 1964 and didn't do anything on the charts. The overdubbed version with electric instruments and percussion was released 11 months later in September 1965. The overdubbed version reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on New Year's Day 1966.

It's a very good karaoke version of The Sound of Silence. It gives a more modern touch but keeping the essense of the original. Congratulations! It woul be nice if you created a karaoke version of Jack Wagner's song called Too Young. I've heard one in CZcams but it's terrible. Keep on doing the good job. :)

This is a different level of difficulty, that requires you to actively learn the song. You can't pick it just by listening as I did with The Nights. And then you get stuff like Cry Me a River by Michael Bublé and Disturbed's Cover of this song that are another far higher level of difficulty. It's mad how much difference there can be

THE HELL... i got the pitch but the quality of the VOICE brrrruuuuhhh can make mine smooooottthherrrr
probably you get pitch but can't hold note the whole phrase? Then you need to work on your breathing technique. Also it can be that that you force higher notes out of you and moves to falsetto. And it's never easy to make falsetto sound nice.
try lip trilling the whole song first :) there is a wrong and a right way to lip trill .. make sure you are very aware of how it feels inside to lip trill ... keep that mid throat expansion pressure going as you trill up instead of switching over to falsetto :)
Trying to play this with guitar and can't find the key. Playing Am - G for the start, what fret do I put the capo on? Thought it was capo 5 but can't match it.

sub par at best. No ques, just starts. We had to restart twice to start at the right time.
This is not too fast, it has the same tempo like the 1966 radio version. Only difference are the first ten seconds, in the 1966 version they start slowly, then get faster, in this version tempo is constant.
