★ Hey Palians!
This was so confusing for me that I spent hours searching for the key and still came up with no solutions. Then I finally realized the order of missions I had to go through to unlock the Library.
The trick to unlocking the closed Library is:
• First reaching Level 3 friendship with Jina, this ensures you get her friendship gift which is THE KEY to the LIBRARY. Sequentially complete Jina's main quests, "The Key" and "Open The Door".
• After only having completed "Open The Door", you will gain access to the Key that opens the locked Library. Once in, just go beyond the long corridor and find the book on the right bookshelf.

how did you level up with her to get the key? i dont even have level 1 with her how am i supposed to do the quest?
Actually, I have been playing for months before Switch release since the Beta launched but have been very on and off with it, or would have finished all the NPC questlines. Some people have nearly 500+ levels and almost all romances done who started alongside me yet I'm still at 100 hahah.
It's mainly talking to NPCs whenever you get a chance, like every in-game day once, and completing their weekly gift quests. A better tactic is to gift them their corresponding starstones. Jina likes Emerald if I remember correctly. She also likes almost all kinds of mushrooms and pearls as gifts. And in the food dept, she likes Pickled stuff a lot. If you give Apple jams or even pickled vegetables, she likes them. Hopefully, you'll unlock her Lv3 status very soon.

I'm at level 2 with her and still don't have the key quest. I'm so confused?
It's Level 3 on the friendship level actually. Once you reach level 3 with her and complete all previous missions leading up to then, this mission will unlock. ^_^
Where do I go to solve the riddle? I have level 3 with her and I just cant figure out where the spot is.@@docsplayground

Oh man, How you doing?
I'd love to stream ngl. Just that my internet router became bad while I'm going through exams. Legit wanted to stream Yakuza 0, 4 days ago but I'm constantly getting disconnected every 10 minutes and it returns after every 5 min. Now I feel like I gotta buy a new router and an ONU so waiting on streaming till then T_T
