I got the iPhone version and I had trouble to find it, as not much information online or the information book. No links or anything. That what lets it down. Otherwise I’m like the radio. Bluetooth software doesn’t show what to use. But when you find it i found it interesting. I love technology and communication, pmr 446 work well. And I have a few different radio for if day out with my family. It’s a learning curve but it adds understanding as mostly same as other radio with some interesting features on it. One piece of good news for you; there's actually a second screen protector underneath the obvious one you initially peeled off. That's what you're seeing get all scratched up. There's no tab on it, so you'll need to catch the edge of it with a toothpick or fingernail. Once you peel that second one off, you'll find a pretty standard screen that seems about as scratch resistant as any other.

So far I found those brand names /models (not sure if all of them are identical): JIANPAI 8800 Plus (with USB-C) SOCOTRAN FB-8629 RADTEL RT-490 [also RT-470, not sure if it is different?] HAMGEEK HG-590 ABBREE AR 869 (with USB-C) [also AR-830 ? AR-F8 GPS ?] MML RADIO JC-8629 I found this HT very interesting not just because of so many FM bands (incl. broadcast FM and aviation AM!!!), but also because of GPS, Bluetooth (what a pitty that no audio devices are supported, just programming), quite large battery (versions with USB-C are particulary cool as you can just hook up to your power bank and you have a hell of uptime) and a nice readible display. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but there is not many so versitile devices, especialy within about a hundred bucks range. P.S. English is my second language, and everytime I watch your videos I learn something new. In this case it was an expression: "to be useless as tits on a nun"😁. Have a great day.

I hate to sound negative but am I the only one having audio issue here. I actually went back and checked other videos here and two weeks ago everything sounded great. It just seems like everything since has lower audio. I'm legally blind and need to use a glass to help me see things even on this 42 inch monitor. I was starting to think my hearing was going bad too. Grin...........
For reference, what selection do I need to download to program this radio? I bought an MMLradio 10watt. Which file do I need to download from the radtel site?
Radtel may have changed their website since this video was made over a year ago. If you follow the link and directions at the end of the video, it should get you right to it, if their website hasn't changed.
I have the mml radio 8811 version, it is so easy to program from the key board, I have put 177 channels already, I got it yesterday no program cable needed👍😎👍🇺🇸🍻🏈⚾️🏀

The RT-490 has a good online manual and now works with Chirp.

I bought one, have the RT system software, but can't get the display, to display name, instead of frequency.
That radio was kind of a pain to program. I was not thrilled with it at all.
I just realized mine has a well fitting piece of plastic covering the screen. Check yours.
