I grew up with sonic youth, started listening to it when i was only 13. Thurston's like an old friend to me, though I've never met him in privat, haha. Benediction, what an affecting song...the whole story is great ! (whatever you do, don't buy Gordons Book!) And I love the Thurston Moore Band! Seen them live, great. Much love to all the other fans and to thurston and all the good people who are responsible for bringing real music and poetry to our world!! you're much needed.

Sherly the mental Buy the book. It's a great read. I've been a Thurston, Kim and SY fan since 13 also. The book didn't derail my feelings for either of them. Seen them live 4 times. Their albums are my friends. Shit happens in life. On their last tour I saw them backstage in the final gig I saw them do. NYC. They were like strangers. Not a couple. Life is not a fantasy. Their daughter was grown and he wanted a clean slate. Shit just happens. She was bitter. Very understandable. He never refuted anything. They are separately making good music. Lee and Steve are as well. Life moves on.

I met him at SY's currated (at UCLAs Royce Hall-) All Tomrw's Parties at their after party and he was so kind to me. He was eating carrot cake and kindly offered me some. I obliged, i didnt wanna intrude on him even though we were having a laxed' conversation. It was a great day. Kim Gordon stared at me in the ladies room while i put on some lipstick. I also had long blue/green dreadlocks. I was smitten she actually stared at me with kindness for about a whole minute. Ive ALWAYS LOVED her so it meant the world to me.
