  • On March 6, 2022, a convoy of 12 civilian cars tried to leave the city of Irpin in the Kyiv oblast and was ambushed by the Russian military on Oleh Koshovyi Street. The Russians shot at the vehicles from a tank and firearms. Five people were killed. Petro, a security guard at a private house, became an accidental witness to the crime. When the war started, he stayed in Irpin to watch over the house and take care of the dogs. Russian soldiers grabbed him, tied him to the wall by his leg and left him to hang there until morning. That's when Petro heard explosions, gunfire, and Russian soldiers shouting that they had shot civilians. What happened on March 6 on Oleh Koshovyi Street and why was Petro left alive?
